Drove 3 hours to golf this track with a buddy who is local. It was a lot of fun and and a fairly easy walk if you like walking, just a couple hills to contend with if you walk. Most fairways are wide, and they have some character with a small hills, tree lined and some bunkers. There's a couple holes with a sewage smell but that's not the fault of the course. The fairways were well kept, a little dry but given our recent weather that's to be expected. Bunkers were playable which was a nice change from some courses closer to where I normally play. I thought it was very cool to see all the planes on their decent into the airport. Overall a nice course. The only knocks was nooboby was available at the turn for drinks, but there was a drink cart out on the back 9 and the green had loads of pitch marks. Can't wait to go back for another round though.
Heard such good things about this place but it didn’t even come close to living up to any expectations that you would have for a city course. Lets start with the course conditions which in general were pretty poor, literally the worst place I golfed this year out of about 20 courses. There is more yellow grass than anything, especially around all the fairways. Every single tee box was bad, some so bad it was all dirt no grass. Now some of the greens were ok but this might have to do with them turning sprinklers on the green while you are playing the hole! Yes you read that right, literally we finished the whole saw a guy turn them on and watch and wait until they walk to the greens before turning them off. What is the point in wetting the green at noon when the sun will cook the grass? Maybe should water when the course is closed. I will add the staff was friendly and nice and couldn’t complain about the weather.
Really nice little course within the city. Greens, fairways and tee decks are all in pretty good shape and the price is right. Only downside is it is a shorter course so the long hitters and better golfers may want to look elsewhere but really good for everyone else
Decent city owned course. A few good par 4's, many good par 3's! Good value for $. Close to Hwy 401 and not too much farther from Hwy 427. It's GREAT that this city owned course makes golf accessible to the masses at a reasonable price!
Exceptionally rude and curt service from those who work here. Unprofessional remarks throughout our game ruined what would've been a pleasant evening amongst friends. Worst of all, told us to pick up our ball at leave in the middle of the 9th hole becuase they wanted to close up and leave. Still had 30 minutes to sundown...
absolutely the best city course in Toronto, and great value. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the course was in good shape. Cat the cart girl was by far the best cart girl i’ve seen, incredibly beautiful and nice!
If you live in Etobicoke, this Is the best golf you can get for the cheapest price. Although there are better deals on Underpar, this course is perfect for a twilight round after work. Great conditions and nice long holes. This hawk swooped in and put one of our balls in a better position, thanks!
If you are a senior this might be your home course mainly because of the price for seniors and the shorter course length. The course conditions are passable, yellow grass and slightly beat up for a city course but not terrible. Course is very short and the par 5’s on the back are excessively long considering the rest of the course is short. If you drive past 260-280 expect to not even use your driver most holes and the holes that you do you will have 30-50 yard chips to the green. I would recommend this course to dads taking their kids, seniors or people who are learning golf but want something in between par 3 courses and a 72 yard championship course
The city courses are all great for affordability and access, no complaints there but they certainly are also learner courses so the rounds can be a bit long. Knowing this going into it though it's manageable and who can beat a day on the links only a short drive away.
Course is great, but man can they replace the grumpy people that work here. If you hate the job so much find something else. Every single time I golf here I try to be pleasant to the staff but it doesn’t matter they must hate their job. I even commented why are they so grumpy and their response was “you try being here since 5 am. Not everyone can play golf.” It’s pathetic that the city can have this type of representation. Such horrible customer relations. As per other reviews I can see that it must not just be my experience. Hopefully the city looks at these reviews and can remind them that their attitude affects the customer experience. I will definitely try to book elsewhere in the future until this can be addressed .
