Mass Audubon Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary

Beautiful views of the ocean. Easy trail around a pond with turtles and many birds. Small playground area made of natural trees.

There is limited street parking but a separate grass parking lot with room for what looks like 30-40 cars. $4 admission fee for the beach, but is an honor system. Not your typical sandy beach but some sand and a a strip of marsh flats between you and the water, with a sand covered outlet to the water right near the street entrance. A great little quiet spot with a gorgeous view across to Sandy Neck. The visitors center was staffed with friendly volunteers with whom my wife enjoyed a chat. There is also a small playground with some obstacles created from downed trees ideal for 3-8 year olds, I'd imagine.

This is a favorite walking place for our family. There is a requested donation box to support trails and upkeep.

My dog and I like to go walk the flats at low tide....beautiful view of Sandy Neck

Best place to watch sunsets and walk in the evening. Facesbwest. Overlooks Sandy neck beach and camps.
