North Vancouver Islamic Association acquired a church in North Vancouver and with the grace of Allah transformed it and founded Masjid Ar-rahman & Islamic Center by March 2013 to be the first Sunny Masjid in North Vancouver.

الجمعية الإسلامية لشمال فانكوفر قامت بفضل من الله ثم بتبرعات المسلمين بتحويل كنيسة في مدينة شمال فانكوفر في كندا إلى مسجد الرحمن و المركز الإسلامي التابع لمسجد الرحمن في مارس 2013 ميلادية ليكون أول مسجد سنّي في شمال فانكوفر. للمعرفة المزيد عن هذا المشروع يرجى الإطلاع على الموقع الرسمي للمسجد:

The masjid is very clean, modern and organized. I did not like all the posters telling people what to do and what not to do. It felt very unwelcoming. It made it seem that you have to be a "perfect" Muslim to pray in this masjid. Everyone should be welcome in the masjid. That's how people learn to follow Islam. Why is the administration expecting people to learn how to be Muslim outside the masjid, then to only to come the mosque once they acheived their idea of perfection. They are creating a very negative and frankly, unislamic culture. Sad to see a masjid be so exclusive. A masjid is supposed to be a sanctuary to all Muslims and non-Muslims. This masjid didn't feel that way at all.
