Ismaili Community Center And Jamatkhana - Vancouver Richmond

We came from Toronto for a visit to Vancouver and we were looking for a mosque to pray Jummah Friday paryer. We were shocked that not any muslim can pray at this mosque and i was very disappointed, if i asked a church to pray they wouldn’t say no but a muslim brother would kick you out believing that this is right living in a world that we have to believe in unity and diversity. We are all Muslims and please leave that ignorance and lets unit instead of being weak and a minority. Very very disappointed.

We were visiting the Vancouver area from California. Googled the closest mosque and this center showed up. Made a stop with my wife, son and baby to pray. As soon as we walked in a lady asked if she could help us, and we asked if this was a mosque. She said yes, an Ismaili one, but it's private property. We asked, so as sunnis we can't pray here? She shook her head no. We were floored. We come from an area where people of all faiths are welcoming to one another and it is rather disappointing that a Muslim mosque can't welcome other Muslims if even for a quick prayer. We would have had better luck at a grocery store.
