The Marshlands Inn is a New Brunswick Country Inn and one of Canada's best known country inns. This pre-confederation home, operating as an inn for over 60 years, has been the stopping place for many of Canada's notables and visiting celebrities. Even the Queen of England has stayed at Marshlands.

I read in several posts that the service was slow. It is the right amount of time to cook 5star meals. If you want fast.....go to McDonalds!! I found the service very friendly, diligent, and concerning. The service people checked our table a few times after we got the meal. This is a top end restaurant. I have been to 32 countries and this is right up there with the best. If this restaurant applied for a Michelin star, they would get it. I am super impressed and decided to honeymoon here after the wedding. The hotel itself was built in 1854 and the entire place has period antiques, artwork and long standing ties to the University. Several celebrities have stayed here including the queen!! The rooms are exceptionally clean, large and many to choose from. You cannot find a better deal with the rooms at about $100 and a 5 star meal that cost roughly $t0 for 2 people. The servings were very large also. The seafood chowder is to die for. Well, your family and country are to die for but this is still very good. As a writer for Trip advisor, I recommend this establishment with the utmost confidence.

This place melted my heart. I felt that I am in a different world, that existed in my dreams when my grandparents were telling stories to the nephews. Nice to feel warm atmosphere and peace, to see childhood dreams in real life. Your kids deserve a such experience. Amazing people, no idea how they are able to keep everything at highest standards.

Beautiful place. Stayed in the same room Queen Elizabeth staying in when she was here. Huge room with private bathroom, very well appointed and shows off its era with the decore as well.

Friendly service, totally accommodating to the craziness of small children. Tasty food. All in all an excellent experience.
