So worth the stop. The best places i have eaten at meet more senses then the taste buds, and Marmalade Skies met them all. The artwork and inside of the store is very warm and clean, and the food unreal. No pun intended but you get the full meal deal. For homemade deliciousness at a price less expensive than your average grocery store, it is more than worth the stop. I would recommend the red salmon wrap for a filling dish that hits the spot, and the buttertarts are unreal. Served warm with whipped cream and cinamon, you can't afford to miss out. After having a conversation with the friendly staff in the cafe, and hearing where they get their food, I felt great about supporting this local business. Also some of the best coffee i've ever had. Thank you for making my trip to Muskoka that much better!

Best buttertarts in Muskoka!! I have been there for both breakfast and lunch. The cafe is the cleanest I have ever been in. The service is great. Keep in mind, it is a cafe run by 2 people, so it has a more small village homey feel to it. I was served in pottery stonewear with my own little individual pots for condiments. Tea is served by the pot and your coffee cup will never be empty. The owners bake all of the breads, scones, cakes, buttertarts, pies, etc as well as make their own homemade soups with real prime roast beef, chicken or veggi"s. I really like all of their homecooked food especially the sweets!! Portions are large and the price is fair. My only compaint is that they sometimes sell out of some of the baking early. So now I pre-order what I want for the weekend for take out and am not disappointed. The owners Sue and Brian are the nicest people you will ever meet and will take good care of you when you come in. Brian is a bit of a social butterfly and will often sit down with a customer over coffee and have a chat. I have come to realize a lot of people pop in for the coffee and a chat. You only find service and hospitality like this in smaller villages.

Did not enjoy this cafe. The service was not good....the owner hovered and then rambled on talking while we were trying to eat. Also, the food was not very good or was not served at the right temperature. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The thing I love about Marmalade Skies Café is the hospitality, fresh baked food and yummy soups accompanied by a complimentary freshly baked cheese scone. Since the café opened 2 years ago it is my absolute all-time favourite place to eat in Bala, which I frequent several times a week. Always very welcoming, great friendly service and reasonably priced – spotlessly clean. After first tasting their 7 grain bread, it is the ONLY bread I will eat. The pot pies are to die for, not to mention the carrot cake, butter tarts, cookies, lemon meringue pie and many other delicious treats. Be sure to check this café out while travelling in and about Muskoka. You certainly won’t be disappointed.

Do you hate when you go into a place and it smells awful, looks awful, and serves awful food and drinks? If you do then dont go to marmalade skies! The food was awful, the services was awful. and it was horrendously overpriced. For your own sake, steer clear of marmalade skies!
