Thought I was getting a knee gel injection from the Dr but no it was a PA…. Complete horror experience. I could barely put weight on my leg and hardly made it to the car… pain was worse. I have since found another Dr who did the gel injection with zero pain and walked away pain free. I’m very angry that I had to have that initial experience. Dr Maffet needs to review his PA. She Left me in the room unable to stand up and never came back to check on me.
I had left knee surgery 3 years ago and Dr. Maffet did a great job. Very little pain and was back to a normal routine in a short time. He also did my right knee 3 months ago. It was even even better than the first one. I was back to playing tennis in less than 2 months. I recommend Dr. Maffet to anyone that is needing his services. He is straight forward, answers all your questions, tells exactly what to expect. Thank You Dr. Maffet!
Dr. Maffet and his team were amazing. I had my left knee scoped for a complex medial meniscus tear. Never once did I feel like a paycheck, or just another number. Don't listen to these clowns in the comments. Honestly, I'll be getting my right knee done soon as well. Quick recovery and back to my extreme lifestyle within 3 weeks. Thank you Dr Maffet.
My husband had his left knee replacement about 7 years ago, Dr. Maffet did a great job was on his feet quickly. Great job Dr. Maffet and Thank You!!!
Dr. Maffet performed shoulder surgery on me, and as a result, dislocated my clavicle from my sternum. He denied anything was wrong, and what looked like a dislocated clavicle, was only swelling as a result of the shoulder surgery. He continued to deny anything was wrong for 6 months. A year later I had surgery, by a trauma orthopedic surgeon, to suture my clavicle back to my sternum. I would not recommend Dr. Maffet to anyone. He is inconsiderate,obnoxious and does surgery only for the money, with no regard to his patient. I would have given him a 0 rating but I had to put 1 star for it to post.
PLEASE READ... I've hesitated several times on writing this review, but feel it is important to alert others... Dr. Maffet did surgery on both of my knees in Feb/March 2016. I went in to see him within the first year because I was still having a lot of pain in both of my knees. After discussing all of this with his nurse, I was sitting on the exam table - you could easily see the scope marks on both of my knees - and then again repeated the continued pain I was experiencing to Dr. Maffet. He looked at my file and said "I think you would be a great candidate to have your knees scoped". WHAT??? I was shocked and reminded him that he had scoped both of my knees within the past year. I was embarrassed for him and totally crushed that my doctor, whom I trusted to perform surgery on both of my knees, had such little interest in me, as a patient, that he was just trying to pitch another surgery to me. Let me set this straight - he was not trying to say I needed surgery to fix anything from the previous 2 surgeries, he was honestly trying to pitch a surgery to me as a new patient. When he recovered from his embarrassment, he then went on to offer me a cortisone shot - no thank you. the only reason one star is marked is because I couldn't post this without marking a star
Dr Maffet and his staff are true professionals and care about their patients. They all have high integrity, good bedside manner, give you options but are also honest with their findings. Dr. Maffet has been our family orthopedist with 3 family members surgery = 4 knees, and my shoulder. I trust him and his staff as they are efficient and professional.
Loved Dr. Maffat and grateful for my knee repair. Office staff was wonderful to deal with as well. I strongly suggest not going through their medical supply company to get items like the cyro cuff. The cyro cuff can be purchased online from Amazon up to $150 cheaper. It also comes in Amazon Prime so if you order accordingly you will have before surgery scheduled. I made the mistake of ordering from their company and not needing everything prescribed. The company charged my card for items immediately. The problem is they don’t give you back your money immediately. It has to go through a “process” and it’s hurry up and wait for them to mail a check for your refund instead of crediting card that was originally charged. The company doesn’t see this as a problem since they’ve been working with Dr. Maffat for 10 years. I don’t know about you, but when it comes to my money...it’s a problem!
moved from Austin to Houston....left knee probably needing replacing in a few years...Mr. M is in no hurry to rush into surgery...his staff is knowledgeable and patient as well as happy to take time to explain things to you..if surgery becomes necessary ...his team will do it...good job Doc.
I really like Dr. Mark Maffet and his staff. I wish he was able to do my revision surgery.
