Prices are pretty high on fresh produce but some items are decently priced and with lots of stock and selection. I would come here to stock up on sauerkraut and jarred eggplant products. The brands Dworek, Wolski, Nezhin, Polonia we’re perfect. There’s a big selection of other Eastern European products like their Slavic rye brown breads.
This place is terrific. Their food in the deli section is amazing. If you want a little vacation spend an hour or more wandering the aisles checking out all the items then grab something from their deli section.
I go when I'm in the area. I buy their unrefined sunflower oil that is great for salads. They have a better selection of pierogies than other grocers. It isn't my normal go to grocery store but I do stop by when I'm in the area infrequently.
Lately, I feel really disappointed with the food sold here. You have to be lucky to get some fresh food, it became like a lottery, you never know what you get. I recently bough smoked salmon and it was smelling really bad, I had to throw it in the garbage. My impression is that they try to sell, in my case, fish that has gone bad long ago.
This is real perl found in Montreal! Like the lovely Yummy market in Toronto-Vaughan. Great choice of food and amazing kitchen/bakery for those who doesn't have time or possibility to prepare at home.
Place’s dead sadly. Used to be a nice store and now it’s trash. Ready to go food literally uncooked. Dunno how those chicken pieces rolled in bacon haven’t caused anyone food poisoning. They are pink inside lol. The rest is also to be scrapped, plus variety suffered. Prices went up meanwhile. A lot of ingredients are skipped during cooking and baking, to save costs. Some products disappear completely. Meanwhile, local quebecer ppl come in to buy same croissant they can get at any maxi or superC . Anyway, I get that inflation is here and logistics get disrupted, but the store is almost dead. Too many negatives and no change in sight.
A little Europe in Montréal!!Great fresh produce , and home cooked meals .you can find a great selection of charcuterie, cheeses, pastries and cakes. Fast service and super friendly personnel!!
Great selection of European products tasty ready-to-eat foods. They make great cheese & meat platters for events.
Best place in the city for european food. Love to get some warm lunch in the restaurant area, always delicious!
The parking service is worst here. I parked my car at 7:50 and by 8:20 my car was towed by SPSQ service, which is ridiculous. Even the charges mention on the board in parking lot is incorrect and it’s a big fraud. I say $29 storage charges for max 6 hours and $87 towing charges but they charges us $133 which doesn’t make sense at all, which is totally unfair. Epicure Store should have some responsibility towards their clients if they want client to come back.
