I really enjoy living at Maplewood Park. I been living here for few years and I would like to highly recommend them. I love the friendly and helpful staff..They always helped me and responded right away. Maintenance always does a good job ---here would be a leaky faucet and they would fix it right away. I enjoy the property and its taken care of and clean. I feel like its a nice home.
Just moved in, loved it so far, will update later, marcos show us the place, help us with the app, we were able to move in next day. He did great. The place we got is clean, safe.. we spend almost a month looking for a place. This is the best we found. So far it is worth the money. Mr. Tran the property manager give us the keys, he was professional, helpful- cool dude, the place is great thanks to him I guess. - met with maintenance, fast response, professional guy.
I do have some nice things to say about this place over the last several years, but they're working hard to undo all of those. Prices keep rising while office hours, maintenance and security are lower every day. Gas is being siphoned in the parking lot, empty beer bottles are a daily sight, and they happily charged full price in everyone's rent for the clubhouse and pool while those were shut down for covid, and even raised rates while sending passive aggressive emails about everyone paying on time no matter what their situation was. Fortunately, that wasn't an issue for me personally, but it said a lot about their priorities. However, the price of staying is now so high that I don't even lose money moving somewhere nice, and I have no hesitation to do so. I certainly won't miss the random inspections, constant attempts to tow my vehicles, and noise at all hours.
Just wanted to take a moment and give due credit, been a resident for nearly 5 years with my husband ya'll! And I must say management has always been transparent, well informing about servicing building gutters, painting, repairs etc Reps Kendra & Marcos have been incredible to work with and have been sincere in resolving any concerns or questions we've had - I've never needed to speak 1-1 with the property manager & I think that says something. Maplewood Apts has shown loyalty to long term residents like ourselves if willing to negotiate they have met us in the middle and met our needs - to maintenance which has always been timely & calling before entering or when renewing our leases regarding pricing, this management is willing to listen and help. THANK YOU GUYS & THE TEAM!!! To folks coming in, know that these building ARE NOT NEW - but they have been well tailored and reasonably upgraded love my washer and dryer they are genuinely 'new appliances' although the dishwasher does take a long time to run, everything functions so just be aware. The community is safe & quiet considering being next to a busy road - it helps the cemetery is next door which is also policed and really not all that spooky. Wild life does come through in that area, its rather peaceful I think but stay safe as I have spotted deers, a rare coyote, & big raccoons. I would also caution the nearby Heritage park at night as in the past few years I can only recall 1 car break in, vandalism that was quickly resolved but police do rounds for safety. My only issue would be some residents, not picking up after their dogs and sometimes the parking lot gatherings after work with loud music - its not daily and has not been terribly disruptive. But directly around me, my neighbors have been no issue. Kids play outside here and Maplewood does a great job maintaining the grounds. I've truly enjoy living here and love the quiet. Really lucky to find this little Renton gem - 5 STARS!!!
I want to thank the administrator of this place which I lived for almost 2 years and I never had any problems, any inconvenience in the property they were always very attentive and they fixed everything at the moment, a safe environment to live, a very passive place. I moved out of state for a better job opportunity if I weren't still in this place which I loved and even cried when I left them. Thank you Cinthya for your excellent treatment and kindness from the first day I entered your office. If you are looking for a safe place and close to everything this is the best place I recommend it 100%
Most of what I have to say is good. The leasing office responds to questions and concerns in a reasonable amount of time. Office has always been professional in their interactions. Maintenance crew are even faster than that. There's a lot of big maintenance projects to be done roofs and whatnot, but that's expected with an older property. Utilities are reliable. The greenery outside is looked after. Garbage and recycling are dealt with regularly, such that I can take mine out without finding the bins overflowing. I am happy to come home to the place. The rent is pretty standard for a decent place in the Puget Sound area. It's clean. I've never had an issue with pests other than the occasional spider to escort back outside. It's insulated, no drafts. If someone breaks something in the stairwell or hall, it gets fixed. The property is safe enough that I feel ok checking mail or walking about when I get home late. There are families with kiddos here. Why not five stars? Main issue is noise. E.g. a neighbor's dog that wants to bark us all into the next century, folks revving their engines in the parking lot at 1am as if they're in a drag car race, small engine conventions, neighbors downstairs crashing around, etc etc. To be fair to the property managers, however, they appear to get people to cut down on patterns of excessive noise: the revving in the small hours abruptly stopped after a while. At least, that's been my experience. If you wait for a while, the noise pattern stops. The office does seem to care about keeping the property fairly peaceful for residents. And also to be fair to the majority of my neighbors, they're considerate enough that I wouldn't know they are there most of the time, even the ones who introduced me to their furry pets which I wouldn't have known they even had pets. All in all, it's quite good for such a big and relatively old property with so many people living on top of one another. It's *very* good compared to some of the stories I've heard from friends who live in comparable places elsewhere.
December, 2022. Ten years at Maplewood Park Apartments, and I continue to be very happy living here. I can highly recommend this as a good place to live for all the reasons mentioned earlier. August of 2021. I've been living here at Maplewood Park Apartments for almost eight years now, and as happy today as I was when I wrote the review below three years ago. Just renewed my lease for my fifth year as a resident at Maplewood Park Apartments. I highly recommend it to anyone who values all it has to offer: very well kept grounds and buildings, responsive and friendly staff, children and small-pet friendly, swimming pool, business office with fax, scanner, printer, workout room, and more. About once a year I put in a request for a service--clogged drain or something similar--and within 24 hours, it's taken care of. Friendly neighbors. Park nearby. It's a great place to live!
I am pleased to hear that we will be receiving upgrades to our stairs and hallways. The office staff have always been absolutely wonderful. Julio is always such a kind and friendly person. Maplewood Park is a clean family oriented complex. Our maintenance crew is awesome.
I've lived here since October 1989 and would like to commend the wonderful people who have helped make my place a home. I've a lot of change here at Maplewood through the years, all of it for the better. I would recommend this complex to anyone who wants to live in a safe and caring environment. I have recently retired and am moving over the mountains to take care of my parents so I will miss this neighborhood immensely. Thank you for over thirty years of home.
Utility bills have been doubled. Parking fees have been raised $10.00. Rent is up about 5% from my last lease. I have been here over 20 years and I feel like they could care less. It’s all about making more money. I’m on a fixed income and now my monthly payment to them is up close to $150.00 to almost $1400.00 for a studio . I am physically unable to move and can’t afford to pay anyone to move me.
