The food here can be described as "perfect after an exhausting work day where you just want a HUGE amount of food to fill you up". It is for when you aren't picky and just want some good carbs, meat and veggies in you. I love MSG but there comes a point when you can have too much of a good thing. I felt parched after eating the food. I see other reviewers have also commented how the dishes were too salty. I suspect this was due to the MSG leaving them thirsty. Overall, there are some good gems but because I really disliked how my mouth felt afterward due to the MSG overload, I really can't give the restaurant a high ranting. We order the 3 people combo special and got so much food. You definitely get a good bang for your buck. Here's our ratings of the dishes when we ate them but do account that we didn't like how we felt after: Braised Beef, tomato and potatoes - 15/10! Really flavourful! Hearty and tender. It is the type that you just want to continue eating. Such good comfort food. Curry fried chicken - 15/10. Crispy, moist and packed with curry flavour. Perfect appetizer when you crave a spin on popcorn chicken. It would go so well with a cold beer! We just want KFC family bucket size of it! General tso - 6.5/10. Mediocre. It had a good amount of meat but we prefer more of a crunch. The flavour was there but nothing special. Wonton soup - 8.5/10. The wonton were packed full with filling. The only thing is that the soup was too salty. Rice with BBQ pork - 6/10. Not a lot of BBQ pork but at least the rice was cooked well not too mushy. Each grain of rice was separated, nicely coated. Calamari - 9/10. Very tasty. There was a bit more coating than I liked but at least the batter was airy. Peach slush - 12/10. SOOOO GOOD. Sweet with prominent peach flavor. Banana milk slush - 9/10, similar to a banana smoothie but not as thick. You can't go wrong with the flavour. I just liked the peach slush better. Lychee slush - 10/10 sweet. Tiramisu - 10/10. I mean you can't go wrong with tiramisu. It was delicious.
Got the Combo for 1 through UberEats for $26.99 and it was pretty good. You get to choose 6 items: an appetizer, soup, main, rice/noodles, dessert and a drink. Definitely more food than the average person can eat in one sitting, lol. For the appetizer, I got the Curry Fried Chicken. Tasted like popcorn chicken. Good, but no curry flavour. For the soup I got the Egg and Mushroom. It had lots of different types of mushrooms, eggs, peas and carrots. Not too salty and was good. For the main, I got the Crispy Beef. Too crispy and tasted mostly like fried batter. I'll stick with my go-to General Tao Chicken in the future. For the noodles, I got the Satay Chicken Fried Noodles. They were generous with the chicken. It also had onions, carrots, broccoli and baby Bok Choy. The udon noodles were nice and chewy. A bit greasy, but was good. For the dessert, I got the taro with sago. I will chose another dessert in the future. Taro tasted like it was from frozen, zero coconut milk flavour and kind of bland. Oh well, can't win 'em all. For the drink I got the lychee slush. Was really good. Overall, good value for money. Pick up is through the side entrance. Looks a bit creepy, but not too bad during daylight.
I pass by here everyday and it smells incredible. Decided to finally try it out and was really happy with the quality and value of the food I ordered. Service at pick up could be improved but overall, great!
Ordered twice from here—the first time it was great. The second time, the food was way too salty. Every dish was over salted and we had to throw out 2 dishes unfortunately.
I ordered the super value combo. Overall I'm happy with the order, although inconsistent, it was delicious where it counted. I started with the egg and creamy corn soup- which was honestly tasteless. A pass. Following that I ate the chicken fried rice with General Tao's chicken and the chicken was amazing!!!!! Perfect amount of spice and flavour, the rice could use more soy sauce, but it was alright nonetheless. I finished it off with some mochi, which was good but somewhat chalky? I bet they were not resteemed completely. Either way it wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely order again just skip that soup it wasn't worth it.
Wow wow wow. I only give 4/5 because some of my noodles were burnt and chicken a little dry. However, this food is amazing. I got the super value combo. The wonton soup and and braised beef was very tasty. It's a must-try.
A lot of their food is pretty good. Their chicken, return to the pot pork, duck rolls, not to mention their fried rice and fried noodles. This is a take out only place though, and is definitely a hole in the wall.
First time ordering from the restaurant and got the super value combo, hai gow, and pecking duck rolls. I can say that even though I ordered delivery the food came at just the right temperature, everything packaged properly with no spills and no soggy foods. Everything tasted amazing and will 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone
Such amazing flavour! Such a good price for the amount and quality of food. Still talking about how good it was the next day! Can’t wait to go back again! Can’t recommend it enough :
Fresh! Great value! Attention to detail and great flavour. Ordered here 3 times now, and each time it is excellent, each item. Thanks!
