Best pizza around, hands down. Wings are great too! This has become our new “go-to” for pizza night. The standard pizza is always delicious. Crust is always just the right thickness and level of crisp. The perfect ‘fold in half’ slice of pizza. Flavorful toppings and sauce. The wings are excellent as well. The only local place I’ll get wings from now. Plus, they ask you what level of crisp you’d like your wings on a 1-10 scale, which is a nice touch. That’s all well and good, but this place’s specialty is wood fired pizzas and they do NOT disappoint. After visiting a dozen or so times, I finally decided to try out the Cup and Char Wood Fired pepperoni pizza. Topped with honey oil after cooking. Honestly it’s currently the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Not to put it on a pedestal, but it’s delicious. I wasn’t sure about the honey, but it added a much welcomed zing of sweetness. A combo I’m usually not a fan of, but it’s works well here. 10/10 easily. As for the service, the staff is always friendly. Really the only issue I’ve ever found are the wait times are slightly higher than other shops. Generally when I’m quoted a 35-40 minute pick up time, I show up and it seems like the pizza has been done for a bit. But estimates aren’t an exact science and the pizza is good enough. It’s not a huge issue. On my last visit, I walked in and waited while, who I’m assuming was the owner, finished my wood fired pizza. He got distracted while training an employee on the process and the pizza stuck to the bottom of the oven. He immediately threw it out, apologized, and began work on a fresh one. Just to give an idea of the level of quality they maintain. He did also mention he’s training new employees, and the wood fired pizza oven had just come back online after a year and a half. Just some food for thought when ordering. Exercise a little patience, it’ll be worth it!
Our pizzas were cut like an elementary school math problem and they tasted like greasy cardboard. The wings were kind of okay. Super overpriced for the quality.
They used to have the best wings around. We got 30 wings for 43.00. They where the worst wings we ever had the sauce was thick like tomato paste with buffalo seasoning in it. I said I wanted crispy number 8 they where crispy alright they where hard as a rock. I will never go there again!
Mama Gina's for dinner tonight! Unfortunately I cannot give a full 5 star review because of a mishap. We ordered curbside pickup at 815pm and it was a 25 minute wait. We got there at 840pm to pick up our food and they said 10 more minutes and they would bring it out to us. 858 rolls around and we go inside to see if they had our food. Unfortunately, they had given our order to someone else. So they made us 2 new calzones and a free order of garlic knots. We waited a total of a little over an hour. I was disappointed as I wanted to just grab our food and go home after a long day. Garlic knots were very good though. Calzones each came with sauce. Bread is nice and fluffy and the insides are cooked perfectly! I got a cheese calzone and my boyfriend got a Buffalo chicken one. Both taste really good. Never disappointed in the food area when it comes to Mama Gina's!
Not only was the food delicious, our server HANNAH was the best we've had anywhere in a long time! She was very attentive, super friendly, and had us laughing throughout the evening. Thank you, Hannah, for making our dinner out so memorable!
I've been traveling around the country for several years for work and this was my go-to spot for perfect NY pizza as soon as I got back to the area! The food did not disappoint! It did take about 15 minutes longer than we were told and there seemed to be some dissention between a male and female worker in the kitchen that could be heard from the front, but everyone was pleasant and professional in front of us. LOVE the remodel!
We’ve ordered from Mama Gina’s numerous times and their food is amazing, so we pre ordered pizza from them to be delivered at our sons bday party. We called prior to the day of the party and it was a solid $80 order. We gave them time place etc, when we placed the order so we wouldn’t have any issues. Day of the party, 1:30 comes around and they aren’t there. We obviously waited a little longer, not a huge deal if they’re a little late. But then my husband calls to see what’s going on & they say “our delivery driver is out” and they can’t tell us when the pizza will arrive. We have guests, we have a venue rented for a limited time. Their excuse was that they had gotten busy in the last hour or so, which is fine but wouldn’t you think they’d prioritize the party order that we made the day before, especially considering we are very regular customers? Nope so my husband left the party picked the pizza up and basically everything fell a little behind after that which had us rushing to get out of the venue while the next party was waiting to get in. Mama Gina’s stated that they’d credit us either 10% or $10 for the trouble. we call a couple weeks later to place an order and they say they have $3 that they’ll credit us that’s it. I stated that they told us they’d be crediting either 10% of the $80 order or $10, was out on hold then told the same. Ridiculous, they just lost us as customers.
We just moved into the area so we decided to try some of the food around here. We are wing finatics so we decided to give this place a try. Let me tell you, we have had wings from all over the syracuse and widely surrounding areas and this place has taken the cake on all of them. The wings here are to die for. From the sauce to the texture they are pure perfection. We have not tried the pizza yet but will soon be getting to that as well. Mama Gina's you have a new fan. 2 thumbs up
I was a little disappointed in their sauce. The waitress was new. Asked for no ice. She brought ice. We also didn't get our dinner rolls til we were almost done. I wouldn't of ripped her, but my man feels BAD if he don't. HE feels obligated. I'll tip if the tip was earned. Not so sure I'll go back.
Always a great meal here! A must stop every time I drive through Fulton. Friendly staff + great food makes me happy every time!
