Absolutely impressed with this restaurant. I ordered takeout. Friendly staff when I picked up my order, and couldn't get home fast enough to try it. Pad thai, ginger beef, and Thai spring rolls were fabulous. Very fresh tasting and generous portions.best thai in Red Deer hands down. The Restaurant had very nice atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant if your looking for something new to try!
The spring rolls very good and tastes fresh. The kids had the chicken chow main which was a sweeter version we weren't fond of. The kids loved it though. The seafood vermicelli Shanghai noodles were seasoned well and good amount of peppers in it. But the calamari was very rubbery. The other seafood in it was better like the scallops, mussels and shrimp. We also had the green curry which was very nice seasoned at medium which had a good enough hear but still enjoyed it.
Super yummy food and huge portions! Had the sautéed chicken salad rolls and the chicken pad Thai.
Good food. Good portions. Family run restaurant. Some dishes I've never heard of at other restaurants before and seem quite authentic - something Thai people might eat at home. The fries and poutine were actually really good too. The burger and chicken fingers were also well-liked. --- After a second visit for lunch. Some dishes were a bit bland. At lunch hour, there was only one other party and they were finishing their meals, but still it took a long time to get the food. It would be nice if they had a lunch menu for people taking a quick lunch break.
We were planning on trying another restaurant, but it was closed, so we decided to go try Mam's Mai Thai Family Restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. The green curry, coconut rice, and Pad Thai noodles were awesome, and the mango sticky rice was to die for! Great family atmosphere, and out kids 8, 10, and 12 all loved the food. My youngest even said "I could go to heaven eating all that...mmmmmm!!!!!!" We have their takeout menu, and plan on ordering in the near future. Highly recommend it!!!
It's a quaint little place that is decorated quite authentically, the staff were all late due to roads or something and the owners husband was the only server, he was exceptionally polite, helpful and willing. We had our kids who don't really do spice that well so our meal was pretty tame. My wife did mention however that the last time she had pork belly like the one here was when we were last in Phuket.... I'd say the food is authentic too! If you like Thai food or want to find out if you like Thai food, this is the only place I have found in Red Deer to do so!
Best Thai food in town. I love the owners, they are just the sweetest people and treat their customers quite well. Location is really far for me as I live in Deer Park but I can't resist their Currys
Definitely one of the best authentic Thai restaurants in Red Deer. Their Pad Thai is amazing not too saucy nor dry and same with all the curries. Prices are around $13 per plate but the portions are quite large. Keep in mind, the wait for the food can be a little longer than usual because they're freshly making it. I highly recommend if you enjoy Thai cuisine!
Great food! I have had a lot of what's on the menu as it is only blocks from my house. I suggest the curries. Best one being the red, then yellow, then green. All are great. The food taste fresh, it's loaded with flavor, and they aren't cutting corners on prep.
A friend and I decided to go out for supper and someone I know had raves about how great the food here was in the past week so we chose to go here. Both myself and the friend I went with this evening had been to Thailand less than a year ago and we so LOVED the meal tonight. We had coconut rice always a winner and Green curry with chicken as well as Phad Num Phrik Phow with pork. Oh my... our mouths were both quite happy with the tasty food we experienced tonight. I had been here once before my Thai trip and I’ll go again and will keep a menu in my vehicle or at work so I can order and pick up as a treat some days after work when I am not feeling up to cooking and want a treat. The restaurant is not very big but definitely worth the visit.
