Very authentic indian cuisine I went with indian friends, very tasty, good prices, good amount of food, diverse dishes in the menu, overall I recommend this restaurant. amazingly, there is no nuts in their dishes/for those who have allergies.Food: 5/5
By far the best Indian resto in Montreal. Host always super nice to us and many have written that they are rude. Been there so many times and never seen this.
Usually I like the Indian food, in this restaurant we like the NANE bread and the butter chicken only. Tasty and delicious! Best of luck
Goat curry was good 4/5. Chicken tikka was ok 2.5/5 Naan bread was dry 2.5/5.
So far the best Indian restaurant we have ever been to in Montreal. The samosa is very flavorful, and not too spicy. So are two sauces served on the table. We ordered curry lamb and korma beef with mild spicy. The owner came over during the meal asking if the spicy level to our satisfaction. I saw some comments saying that the owner is not friendly and patient. It could be that he was very busy at that time. Because we had same impression when we called the restaurant, the person asked the phone was not patient. But, when we got there, we saw that he is very busy. And he was patient when he explains the menu for us. We will highly recommend. Vegetarian options: has choices for vegetarian Parking: parking on street without permits.
The food was not bad, but overall not great. I like Indian food at many many places. Here the nan was rubbery, the minced chicken was a bit dry, the spinach dish was good but looked nothing like the picture on the web site, and overall, I will not order from here again.
Great little spot. The owner is very friendly. The staff is amazing. The food is phenomenal. Must try!!
Food was tasty - especially the goat - but the welcome was far from warm. We also waited 45 minutes to order. They do a brisk takeout/delivery service, and like everywhere, seem to lack staff. I got the feeling Mr Malhi isn't keen on people eating in the restaurant.
I ordered through UberEats. I originally ordered 12 samosas, it was 2 pieces for 3$, so I ordered 6 times that 2 pieces × 6. The restaurant made a genuine mistake and only put 6 pieces. I reordered the missing 6 pieces and added a note for the restaurant to let them know they did a mistake. When I got my 2nd order, the bag was heavy and I saw that they gave me 12 samosas with a nice hand written note to make up for their mistake. It was really unexpected and sweet of them. I really appreciated it given that this gesture cost them money. And the samosas are really good!!! 10/10 recommend!
This place use to have the best Indian food. Like it ruined Indian food anywhere else for me. I’ve been back three times in the last year and every time I was disappointed. The Shahi Paneer is missing depth and is less sweet, creamy and rose in colour- it’s now more acidic, oily and orange in colour. Something has changed. Does not crush the craving and meet the expectation I have of this dish the way it was previously made here. Does anyone know whether this restaurant sold to new owners? I haven’t seen Mr.Mahli and have noticed the decrease in quality The chutneys and pakoras were still good. The naans were a bit too thick.
