I was very impressed by this restaurant Very flavorfull and fresh. The chicken 65 was absolutely delicious. The dosa was a great discovery, you get to taste it with different sauce, for a small price. Great service!
A cozy delicious restaurant. It’s small but very clean. If you like spicy food, you’ll definitely into it.
If you have ever ordered Dosa home, you neeeeeed to try at the restaurant. It is good at home, but here is even better! Of course, it is fresh! Best Indian restaurant we know in Montreal, after trying some options!
Worst experience ever, I had a butter chicken and One garlic naan and one plain naan. The chicken was like swimming in the water, no gravy at all. And naan really disappointed me, they are actually selling ready made bread which you can from any store.
Just ordered delivery and wow is this ever good. We got the lamb and chicken biryani dishes. Right amount of spiciness and meat for both dishes. Also very tender and flavourful. Will order again! Lastly, portions are great.Recommended dishesChicken 65 Biryani
To celebrate 10th wedding anniversary, we were looking for an Indian place, to change from our local one, Ajit's Palace. Lakshana's is well located in little India on Jean Talon. Parking all around and metro not far at all. The place is small but very clean and well kept. Staff was very polite and helpful. Quite a good variety of south Indian food. Service was fast. We dined in. The portions are too big for me ! We could have eaten the thali only, instead of talking one plate each. Food is tasty! I have never tasted tandoori chicken as good as they make it! A bit disappointed that the lamb that came with the dosa was not piping hot. Sweet Lassi and rasmalai were excellent.
Very authentic South Indian food. I really enjoy their chicken n lamb biriyani every time I visit. Nice ambience and good service. One of the must go south Indian restaurant at Montreal.Food: 5/5
The food was delicious. Unfortunately, I was given TWO dishes with nuts in them after I explicitly asked the waitress if either had nuts before ordering. I have a life threatening allergy, which is why I take the time to ask before ordering. This lack of care could land someone in the hospital. If you have allergies I would steer clear. Otherwise, enjoy!
Absolutely amazing! Many restaurants worth going to near this intersection of Jean-Talon, but if you have to pick one, this should be it. Amazing portions and prices, friendly staff, but above all— truly excellent food.
Had a decent experience, Butter Naan with chicken curry was good. Chicken 65 Biryani was ok ok, pieces were deep fried which changed the flavour entirely. Kind of felt like fish, Mutton biryani was good.
