Came here for dinner and the place was quite busy. There was only one woman serving and she tried her best but we waited 40 minutes before we could order our food. During this time we watched about 4 tables of people leave in frustration. Our food was good but the owners need to have more than one staff member working on the floor during peak periods. She was dealing with phone orders the whole time also. Hire more staff for peak periods!!! Also change the music!! Most sushi places play Japanese style music not jazz music. This is not a fancy Italian restaurant.

I can't even begin to describe how amazing the food is here. I'm a sushi snob and very picky when it comes to quality and this place is the best I have tried in a long time!!! We've ordered takeout from here three times in the last two weeks now, and it's been fresh and delicious every time. My new favourite!!

Three stars only because the service is Terrible. This is my FAVORITE sushi place! Best rolls, best sashimi, incredible. They just desperately need more servers. I've taken so many people here and they all love the food but hate waiting 25-40 minutes to get a drink and an Appy. If you're willing to wait to eat for almost an hr and wait to get the bill then it's worth it. Please please find a way to get more efficient way of serving because I love your good!!!

I really love the fish here, but I can no longer eat-in at this place! Takeout is fast and pretty good. On a couple occasions my small party 2 to 4 were waiting over 45 mins for our food. Our server avoided us rather than converse with us and/or refill water - wasn't packed. The place is clean and the chefs are on their game and greet you with a hello when you enter. Agadashe Tofu is pretty killer, and I liked their sashimi cuts.

This is my new favourite sushi restaurant, the food is amazing and a rly good price. Great service, friendly staff, I eat here almost everyday when I’m in town! My family loves it too!

My girlfriend and I order takeout from Makoto on a regular basis. The quality is consistent and the staff is friendly. On one occassion, our order was prepared incorrectly and we didn’t realize until back home. Upon learning about the mistake, the chefs were incredibly apologetic, fixed our order and gave us a free appetizer for the inconvenience. A week later, when I placed a new order, again the chefs included an appetizer on the house. It’s clear the staff are willing to do what it takes to give customers a positive experience. One note: takeout times are often slightly longer than suggested. If they tell you it’ll be ready in 20 minutes, I would suggest showing up in 25 or 30 to avoid waiting.

I really liked the ramen! I was nervous to try the ramen at first as I’ve found other ramen places not to be so good compared to Japan. But I was happily surprised when I tasted the ramen. Very yummy and would recommend to everyone. Also the gyoza is amazing!

Went for lunch and the young server was awful. There were only 3 tables in the whole restaurant and she was dropping spoons on the floor, running around. She didn't even acknowledge I was sitting at a table for 5 minutes and the first thing she said was are you ready to order?.... I had to remind her that I need a menu to order. She never refilled my tea and only asked how my food was when she collected the empty plates. After one table had eaten their food they called her over because she never brought their sashimi plate. The food was fine but if your that overwhelmed by three tables, you need another job :s

Great sushi! Lots of selection and fantastic presentation. The staff always greats you warmly when you come in and leave. Highly recommended!

Classic Ramen was so delicious. A must add in is the soft boiled egg. Lovely service. Good atmosphere. Will go back for sure!
