Makimono Sushi Bar & Restaurant

Had a great experience! The sushi was delicious and the portion sizes were just right, making it great value for the price. The menu had a fantastic variety, and the staff were super helpful in guiding us through the options. They made excellent recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. It’s definitely a place I’ll be returning to soon!

A good sushi place in Oshawa. The food is good and there are plenty of dishes to choose from. We enjoyed dining here.

The food was not at all edible. The spider sushi looks nothing like a typical spider roll. Hard to even eat. So much rice in the sushi’s. It was a very bad experience!!!! I paid for bad food, literally for rice. I lost my appetite.nWith any good customer service they would remove it from your bill or give you a different option, instead they made us paid for food that we did eat or enjoy. The sushi's looked all the same and the presentation was awful. I have eaten at several sushi places, but never like this. I think I would have been better buying it at the grocery store. If you are looking for a well made sushi, DO NOT come here. $170.00 for three people and we did not eat the food.

I've been a customer of the Oshawa location for years but lately something has changed. Our last dine in experience was fantastic no complaints however, I recently decided to order take out, specifically the chicken and broccoli, portion was great. However, it was EXTREMELY oily, in fact the oil was floating to the top and was very bland. I'm assuming it was made fresh because when I arrived to pick up, I had to wait a few minutes for order to be completed, and it wasn't busy. The wait is fine, that's not my complaint, it was the quality of the food. Maybe different chef this evening I don't know. I normally have a 3 strike you're out rule especially for an establishment that I've been to this long. I'm willing to give them another chance and will let them know with kindness the next time I order or dine in. We've had an issue the last time we requested delivery service as well, that's why I decided to post a review this time.
