Had a great night at Maduro. Reasonable selection of cigars. Excellent selection of whiskey. Great customer service. Rory, the bartender, is a great guy. Bit of a dive bar atmosphere but that is part of the charm. If you like whiskey & cigars… I highly recommend.
Ever travel to a place you’ve never been before, and you walk or wander looking for something to connect with, well Maduro Cigar & Bar was that place for me in Madison, WI - after my dinner I walked around looking for a place to unwind, Maduro was it. Temper your expectations, no walk-in humidor here, but you’ll find a helpful attentive and friendly bartender. Vanessa You’ll walk into a 150yr old building with lots of character. You will find a small, simple, yet good cigar selection, paired with a small but excellent choice of Cognac Whiskey & spirits old fashioned for me Above all else, good people good music and awesome vibes.
Lovely haunt. You can smoke cigars inside, buy cigars are site, and enjoy a great selection of whiskey/bourbon/rye. The bartender, Vanessa is great company if you're flying solo, too. Really great atmosphere, too.
Excellent service, great liquor. A must stop for anyone who likes fine booze and cigars.
Awesome, fun little cigar bar. Amazing drink and beer selection with top notch staff. Nice outdoor seating area as well. Cheers to this place. It is a must visit place downtown.
Prices have gone up the last couple years but it's still one of the best priced cigar bars you'll find. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
Good place to smoke cigars, I like the decor. They do have cigars but a small selection. I have been here a few times.
A dimly lit but nicely furnished cigar bar just off the capitol. They have a relatively small selection of cigars on offer in their standing humidor all my previous smoking room experiences have been cigar shops where etiquette dictates you buy you first cigar there, but the focus seems to be more on offering a cigar friendly venue with a decent drink selection and a laid-back atmosphere. A mix of leather and wood furniture is laid out is small intimate groupings, while the old-style hammered tin ceiling adds to an air of sophistication without edging into gaudy or excessively opulent. The bartender was welcoming and pleasant, and over our three hours people watching, clearly most of the customers are regulars who know the place and each other very well. The air fills with a rich mix of aromas, but the ventilation system does an admirable job of keeping the air clear of hanging smoke. Unfortunately, the front of the shop is entirely glass, and is directly across from a parking structure exit, meaning that headlights are flashing through the shop every time a car departs. This, when contrasted with the extremely low light inside, can be a rather unpleasant shock to the senses. Not a lot to be done about that besides shade the windows, but the interior lights would definitely need to be brought up or you'd have a hard time seeing your hand in front of your face. If you're looking for a cigar bar, this is the place to go in Madison. I'm glad to see that a relatively niche venue like this is doing good business.
Great Bourbon, nice selection of cigars, laid back..... My kinda spot.. oh, and Jazz music playing! I'm sold!
Good people. Great location. Limited cigar selection but you can smoke outside or inside with a good pint of beer
