Had my first Mad Chicken experience tonight… the staff member was super kind and helpful. It was a rather long wait for the food but it was totally worth it. Ordered the Mad Fries with Mac & Cheese. It was incredible! My husband and I shared because it was such a large portion. He is a huge Mac & Cheese fan and seriously loved this entire meal! We will definitely go back.
Let's get right to it: how does this compare to the sandwich from Popeyes? Popeyes is still the king and you're better off there for both flavor and price. Got the spicy sandwich no cheese and waffle fries. The waffle fries were astounding with their seasoning. The sandwich though..some mixed feelings there. It's just too busy with everything you're trying to throw in, wayyy over seasoned and too salty, couldn't even finish the sandwich there was so much. The bun was top notch but the chicken is what needs to be dominant here and it just wasn't. I feel like there's some potential for this thing to improve.
I had the 4 piece chicken tenders with the standard criss cut fries. The portion was HUGE. I got it to eat in the mall, but wound up going back to get a box because it was just too much food. And it was a great value for the price. The chicken was tender and juicy and flavorful, the fries were cooked perfectly and hot. My wait wasn't bad either. I was about 6th in line and had my food within 5 minutes roughly. And the gentleman behind the counter had the patience of a saint as some woman and her poorly behaved child lingered up front instead of moving to the side to let others order. If you miss KFC because they took it out of your town, this place will certainly help scratch that itch.
The chicken smells and tastes so good!! The waffle fries are super buttery and we tried this cake like dessert here and it was so wonderful! I left here feeling very happy and satisfied! The portions are big too we ordered an 8 piece for four people and had some left overs which are still good later too definitely will be coming back!
As a local chicken sandwich enthusiast, Mad Chicken remains my go-to choice for quality and convenience. Their chicken is juicy and fries are crispy. They are a bit more pricey than large chains, however, they do give you a lot more chicken for the price difference.
Hands down best chicken ever! The seasoned breading on the chicken is amazing. Never once have been disappointed here. Workers are always friendly. The only place I will actually eat in the mall that’s worth my money.
I generally don’t like greasy food that’s deep fried. That being said, this place is the exception for me. The owner has exemplary customer service skills and the food is fantastic. You do have a long wait for your food but that’s only because they make your order fresh every single time and they are quite busy most of the time. My only quibble with this place is the price. It’s too expensive for deep fried food. But it really is quite good due to the unique blend of seasonings and breading. Helpful tip: don’t take the food home. It’ll just be soggy and nasty. Even though I hate eating in the mall food court, I enjoyed my food 10 times more than when I tried taking it home. Try the deep fried Oreos!
The chicken is crispy and juicy without being greasy. They also have wonderful desserts that are a perfect compliment to a cup of coffee or boba. I will definitely be eating here again.
The food is ok, I ordered the chicken tenders with a drink and dipping sauce. The person behind the counter was very rude and at first would only give me the chicken tenders without giving me my drink I assumed the sauce was in the box already. It was not busy at all and it should not have been that difficult to get my food and drink when it was clearly listed on the receipt. I did not receive my dipping sauce at all and given the attitude of the man behind the counter, I was unwilling to go back for it. I get that it was an hour before closing and things were winding down but still...
I’m speechless about the food and the customer service. I went there and I ask the guy what I should get since it was my first time he recommended the number 6. The man was also very kind to me and had really nice manners. I waited for the food and it didn’t take long. When I got the food everything was fresh. The macaroni and cheese was hot n ready, the cheese curds was hot breast, and don’t get me started with the burger which was fire. Overall, I really liked all of it and would highly recommend this place.
