MacGregor Point Provincial Park

Did some winter camping here in their yurts. It was a really impressive experience. The yurts were big and well kept, heated, with everything you'd need. The BBQ even included lined-in propane so you didn't need to bring your own. Absolutely beautiful experience, highly recommend.

Had a great time last weekend. Lots of privacy at all the sites, clean comfort stations and polite staff! Didn't end up swimming but the beach looked great and the water wasn't that cold. The wood they sell isn't dry enough, so the fire wasn't that amazing at night. Lots of cute active raccoons in the area! Stayed in Huron, it was perfect.

Quiet and Relaxing A friend and I and our dogs camped at Macgregor point in July 2014. The park is a good size with large, private sites - we could hardly see our neighbours. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but the city of Port Elgin is only a 5 -10 minute drive to the north - which is handy for buying supplies and grocery shopping. The weather was cold, wet and dreary for most of our 3 night stay so we didn't get to try the beach but we were able to explore some of the hiking trails. There is a great trail for hiking biking that run along the shoreline and seems to go on for miles. The dogs loved it and there are plenty of places along the shore that permit pets on the beach. The washroom/shower facilities were very new and clean. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the park but as one of the other reviewers mentioned it is missing that wow factor that a lot of other provincial parks have.

Had an amazing camping in mid July.The campsite wasn't too big,but privacy was good .it did rain during our stay but the drainage was good.amazing bike trails.beach was nice.other campers were also nice and friendly ,my son had a wonderful time biking there.comfort stations could have been cleaner.park store was average .staff was friendly. one needs to watch out for racoons at night!would definitely go again next year.

Beautiful park along the shore of Geogian Bay. Campsites are private and quite large. Lots of trails to hike and bike. Great park
