We have been eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. It never disappoints in service, or food presentation. Check out my pictures from last night. We had a birthday party there with 20 people, and they took very good care of everyone. Make reservations if you have more than 6 guests.
FINALLY! It's taken over a year and a half, but we've finally found an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Seattle area. The food was legit, although my tamale was a bit oversauced, but the flavor was excellent. I was leery of the idea of coleslaw, but it actually worked, being in a vinegar rather than a cream sauce. My husband had beef fajitas which he loved. The plate came out steaming hot and didn't cool down for quite awhile. Prices were reasonable and portions were very generous - my plate came from the small plates section of the menu and I still had plenty to take home. Last but most definitely not least, gotta show love for the desserts. I don't normally order dessert out, but the Mexican chocolate burnt cream was too tantalizing a concept to pass up. So worth it! My husband inhaled an order of flan, so I guess he enjoyed it I did manage to snatch a bite and it was tasty. Overall an awesome find and a place we will definitely return to!
Nice old school vibe, friendly staff, affordable food, and clean place. Great vegetarian options that are nice "normal" ingredients - beans, cheese, rice, etc., instead of getting all sorts of squash and zucchini and things that other more trendy Mexican restaurants tend to put in their veggie items sometimes simpler is better. The restaurant has an old vibe since it IS old but that helps add to the charm. The portion sizes are HUGE, almost everyone at the other tables we observed definitely got doggie bags to take home the extras. Free chips and salsa and free refills on fountain drinks. The food was good, but not great - nice ingredients but in my opinion could've used a little more spices and extra flavors. Will certainly be going back when hungry for some good solid Mexican food at a good price.
The guy next to us arrived with a motorcycle helmet, when I mentioned that he must be cold he said that he had come in to get warmed up. Now I understand! Luisa will wrap her virtual arms around you and yes, you'll feel the heat. Maybe its my hunger, maybe its the fabulous food...I feel good, you will too.
I have ordered take out from here several times in past. I found it to be ok place to order once in a while. This time I ordered Tacos De Camarones With side of rice and beans, chips and salsa and three tacos, it comes out to be big portion and will definitely fill you up for $21. But if you are looking for flavor only salsa and tortilla stood out. Rice and beans was plane. Taco really sucked. See photo
Best Mexican food in the area. Food tasted super fresh and flavorful! Service was friendly and fast. Definitely I’ll recommend this places and going back every time I feel like eating authentic Mexican food! Pictures of the dishes: Burrito Loco and Gorditas
Well, service was great but food Not really ! maybe I go next time and try again if I see is better or or is the same!
We live nearby and used to frequent this spot a lot - we used to love getting their enchiladas, tacos, and margaritas. We went back recently though and were very disappointed. The red sauce tasted like marinara pasta sauce - very weird to have Italian sauce covering your enchilada. The staff were nice but forgetful with the menu items and also forgot some of the food and the drinks we ordered. We figured it might be blessing in disgiise that they forgot some of the food - after trying our main items we were not interested in eating anything else. We are so disappointed that we no longer have a great Mexican food option down the street. I hope they can turn things around.
We ate here and it was probably the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. The red sauce tasted like tomato paste right out of a can. My friends also did not eat their meals. It was all bad. That being said, the service was fine, and the waitress was nice. But the food was a tragedy.
My family has been going to this restaurant for almost 30 years, and it's always been fantastic. They've pivoted to takeout only during the pandemic, so I miss getting the homemade tortillas and salsa from their little kiosk in the lobby, but the food is still delicious even after the trip back in my car. My top picks here are the carne asada they used to use a skirt steak, but switched to ribeye during the pandemic - still delicious, but more luxurious!, chalupas, and their chicken en mole. Their guacamole and homemade salsas are also super fresh and flavorful. I always have leftovers because the portions are so generous, and any leftover salsa is amazing on eggs the next day. Great value, delicious food, and friendly service have kept us coming back all these years.
