Lucy's Taco Shop

I would say this is a 2 star place. I'll start by saying that I do like Lucy's. Great margaritas. I have had good experiences. And I have had disappointing experiences. Mainly speaking about this meal I recently got. Before that I've had fine experiences. They are always very nice too. My go-to at any Mexican food restaurant is a burrito with chicken, beans, and rice. This time I asked for pico too. Photo below of what I actually gottaken after I opened it I bit in and it was dry. There was chicken pieces rock hard, not fresh at all and loose rice and no beans or anything so it was so dry, not a single bean in there. I'm not a picky person but... One of the worst burritos ever.

If I could give no stars I would.. this is the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, bland dry and worst of all flavorless. I got my son a chicken quesadilla and he spit it out, so I decided to try it and it tasted like they used canned chicken salad.. I’m usually not picky, but when I spend over 40 dollars I expect the food to be up to standard. I threw away the food because none of up will eat it. So if you want good Mexican food this is not the place to go. Very disappointed..

Absolutely delicious! Ordered the California Burrito and it tastes fantastic. It's about a foot long and 3in diameter... Basically the size of a Subway footlong, lol, but way better! Honestly, the flavors remind me of a REALLY GOOD Philly cheese steak. I'm glad I went there.

I had a wonderful experience with the staff. Very nice. Order was quick. I would say the food was OK. I got the fish tacos and personally the fish is too delicate for the amount of flour they put on it. Also there was a piece of mystery meat in my fish taco. So that was strange. Aside from that though, I love a Mexican restaurant that has chips and spicy carrots for while you’re waiting. Their salsa was delicious!

Okay food was good probably a solid 8/10 The salsa bar was a awesome surprise 9/10 service the lady who helped me was unfriendly and was to busy talking to her friend then helping customers! I asked for a basket for chips and I got a little basket for the onions and stuff. There was another young man working the front also he was awesome! Another guy asked him for a chip thing and he gave him a real one not a mini one! He was also talking with customers and keeping busy

UPDATE: So Disappointing. Ordered the Carnitas plate on Saturday Should be great and fresh you'd think. They were totally shredded bits, no chunks, and oversalted. Guacamole like baby food. Tortillas that fell apart. Picture is from the previous visit. The salsa, however, was still great and chips were fresh. Old review: SO AWESOME to finally find a Mexican restaurant here in Bend that does authentic food! Best salsa I've found here and the carnitas were delicious! I've been looking for 2 years now since moving from CA. This place was in Sacramento for years and then opened in Redmond and now in Bend. WELCOME to Bend!!

I only get the tacos but for the price, you can’t beat Lucy’s! Flavorful, lots of meat, and cheaper than most places in town without having 4 ounces of grease drip out of the taco. They’re always really friendly and fast too!

D freaking Licious!!! Great food, they're open late, authentic Mexican flavor. Highly recommend the carnitas taco combo. Clean place and a delicious looking salsa bar. If you have the late night munchies or you want to go in for some authentic Mexican grub don't pass this place up..

Food is fresh and delicious. A few things, the tacos on the taco platters need to be wrapped in paper or a foil wrap to keep the integrity of the taco. Lettuce is spread over the whole tray, Should just be a little in a corner. The beans and rice are really good. Overall good eats, Carne Assada tacos with the green salsa are BOMB

Love a good Mexican place to eat! Large serving sizes. You can take salsas and chips! Fast service and great prices! I got the vegetarian quesadilla and asada burrito. More than enough for 1 meal. Plus it’s one of the one places that is open after 9. Not sure why lots of places in Bend close at 9…but after a day of drinking this place was epic!
