This place is always busy for good reasons. My husband and I love the meat & shrimp dumpling deep fried glutinous rice dumplings they are huge! We both think it’s better than any dim sum place because it’s that good! Very crispy, good amount of filling that is juicy, and holds well. We sometimes buy a few extra and reheat it in the air fryer. The picture of his hand for scale and he has pretty big hands. The second item that my husband loves is the mango mochi! They sell out pretty fast too. And the humble egg tarts are really good
Lucullus Bakery is one of the popular bakeries in Richmond Hill for HK buns and other products. I really enjoyed their coconut and cream buns when they were distributed at the nearby supermarket. The buns are stuffed to the brim, and you can really feel the weight of all of the tasty stuffing inside. I finally visited their actual bakery today. It’s as popular as ever. The stuffing was a tad too sweet compared to what I recalled!
Probably come to this bakery since I was born. This bakery is our favorite for cantonese classics like a BLB or baked rices. Their prices honestly have risen with inflation but still reasonable. I just come here for speed and quality and it has never disappointed us honestly.
Anyone who complains about the customer service is naive to the likelihood that these ladies are just trying to get by, make an honest living, and keep it moving. These ladies aren’t here to listen to your complaints that you didn’t get enough raspberries on your birthday cake. Lucullus is the best Asian bakery out there. Their variety, for being a Cantonese bakery, is impressive. Their buns are always delicious. The quality of the egg tart is unmatched to any other location in the GTA. I go here at least once a week & I’m sad that my bank account can’t fund my Lucullus addiction.
Hands down my fave iced lemon tea in town!! We come back so often just for it and the buns. The steamed rice is also really good - try the steamed pork with octopus coz the sweet soy sauce is so good or the chicken a la king!
The milk tea is perfect and the buns are to die for. My favourites are the bbq pork bun, beef curry bun it's actually a tiny bit spicy!, and the blb perfect crispiness and texture. The other ones are good too, and they've just managed to make all of my favourites perfectly. It is on the pricier side, but well worth it for a treat. Fast service and fresh buns come out every time I go. AND THE BUNS ARE ALSO ALWAYS SO FULL! I also got the chestnut cake on a whim. It was rather average overall, but the chestnut flavour was strong, which was nice.
Popular bakery that also sells a number of meals which seem popular. Friendly and efficient staff and a good selection of baked products and drinks. They have a number of honey drinks, I tried one with goji berries and red dates and it was really good. I noticed several people purchase the meals and there are a number of tables where you can consume your purchase. Prices were reasonable.
Delicious. Wasn't overly sweet, egg flavor was there. Would recommend. Yum.
The best Hong Kong style bakery in the city. It's reputation precedes itself. Nothing like a hot fresh BBQ pork bun.
Pastries, bread, and tea are very Hong Kong styles. They also have different kinds of quick meals, like curry chicken and so forth which are very much catering to HongKongneese. But the place is always busy. Price-wise; pastries, and bread are quite pricey compared to other Hong Kong-style cafes. However, their bread is fully loaded with items and fresh, which is their uniqueness, and I love it. Service-wise they suck, and it's all because they are always so busy, as they tend to be rushing you to make quick decisions and so forth, which is rude. All in all, I would suggest this place. As I always say it's good to see for yourself, visit them, and add your comments on what you think.
