I thought the casino was very clean overall. staff is very friendly, the restaurant had really good food, came in a timely manner. the restaurant staff a wonderful job, I stayed at the hotel , the room is very clean, the bathroom is very clean. several of the items in the bathroom were crooked when they were installed by the maintenance guys but you know who cares. the shower was very clean. the shower head was clean . I used to be a maintenance guy so I look for these things. bed was very clean, sheets were clean, they were changed u could tell. everything look to be wiped down and sanitized. the balcony was clean. the only thing that overall that I did not like was the filtration to get the cigarette smoke out of the casino air. I feel as Seven Feathers has a way better filtration system or at least there's does a better job because when I walk in there I don't immediately get hit with a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. you will smell that but to those that are very sensitive about it probably not going to want to be in the casino very long. but other than that it's four stars I'd recommend it to anybody that likes to gamble and wants a clean room and a good meal!
Clean, spacious rooms, big bathrooms with glass-door showers. Very helpful front desk staff. Lots and lots of machines to play on, if you don't mind cigarette smoke. A much smaller non-smoking room. Restaurant offerings are hit-or-miss but generally fine. Service is great though.
The Howonquet Lodge advertises it has a “100% smoke free hotel environment”, yet they have ashtrays at each entrance and exit, smoking balconies on each floor, and when you walk in the lobby the smoke from the casino is overwhelming. Our luggage reeked of smoke all the way home and required several processes to remove the smell. For two nights we dealt with the people above us causing so much noise and banging that the TVs in our room were shaking. We tried to call the desk using the phone in the room, only to find it was not functional. Using our own cell phones we finally reached the front desk. They said they would talk to them about the noise and the banging. After a couple of hours of the continued noise we called back only to discover that their security chose not to act on the report since it was only around 9pm, even though we told them this has occurred for two nights now. We really needed the sleep to survive the perilous windy roads of Highway 101 but we didn’t get any sleep at this lodge. They also did not entertain our suggestion of switching our room. I was shocked to read a review mentioning the place was “clean and comfortable” when my wife went into the bathroom and discovered brown splatter marks on the walls around the toilet and toilet paper holder, which we can only assume was fecal matter. Many of the exterior doors that used card readers to gain entrance into the lodge did not acknowledge the card. Guests were propping the doors open with rugs and nearby rocks, so they could go in and out but this also presents a security risk. My wife and I will never return to this place nor do we recommend it to anyone.
Excellent escape from reality once in awhile. Comfortable beds, rooms were clean, gaming was top notch and the food was great. 5 stars all around. Recommend Lucky 7 to anyone looking for a good time and a relaxing wind down in the pool afterwards!
Our staff had a dinner at Lycky 7 Casino. A group of 30. We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing. The staff were very polite, welcoming and genuine. Our waitress worked her tail off and did it with a kind smile. After dinner a small group broke away and went to the game. All in all it was a great time and I would recommend it to anyone in need of a large group gathering and great food. The gambling is a given.
Very clean hotel, casino, and restaurant. The staff was extra nice and cracking jokes. Restaurant staff was nice but not very good. Food was good, not great. Sport bar staff was great. Never encountered anyone at the pool so we had it and the hot tub to our selves. Guess most don't use it. Don't use the vending machine it does not work correctly staff confirmed this. No place is perfect but I still loved this place. Gas station and mini store right across the street very convenient. Beach across the street also.
Pass this one by, terrible experience. When we arrived, the property looked nice but when we went up to our room it was very hot. We tried to turn on the AC but the fan would not engage. When we tried to call down to the desk our phone had a problem where they could not hear us even though we could hear them. We did clearly hear them assume that it was child messing with the phone or us somehow using the phone wrong. I then called down from my cell and asked for someone to look at the AC. We went to dinner at the hotel restaurant my husband’s dinner was fine, simpler street tacos, mine was inedible, cheap mealy meat on a club sandwich and mayo that was off. When we went back to the room it was hotter than before and still not blowing. My husband went to the desk to ask about the AC and was accused of making it all up. He was told the maintenance person checked the unit in the attic and then the room and reported to the desk that it felt “cooler.” The woman at the desk, who was at least the shift supervisor and may have been the manager was immediately hostile with my husband and told him that the AC was indeed working and that there were no other rooms available. She was shockingly rude as he stood there visibly overheated from being in the room. The fan did not engage all night. We went to bed with he curtains open and the balcony door open. The air off the sea helped some but the lights in the parking lot, the guests smoking outside, and the highway kept me up all night. I will say that the casino was lovely, like any small regional casino. It was clean, the non-smoking area had plenty of games and the staff was friendly. Our experience was so bad that I feel like we were robbed.
Beautiful and spacious rooms for a great place to stay! A litlle on the pricey side. Casino was nice and clean. Only one of two table games open for Blackjack. If you're going to stay here, get a players club card to get 10% off your stay but if you already have AAA or AARP you will not get an additional % off. I left the next morning in a hurry and the front desk called to let me know that I left my phone charger in the room. Thank you! I was able to turn around and go back and get it. I would definitely stay their again.
Spacious, clean, modern and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We stayed here while visiting the redwoods in Jedediah Smith State Park and it was a perfect HQ. No review for the casino or restaurant as we didn't use them.Rooms: 5/5
Surprising nice on the inside. Stopped here for a quick break. Cashing out is a bit weird as the machines do not seem to cash out, have to go to the cage. No dogs allowed.
