Nice enough campground with ample room, trees, an outhouse, lots of trees and a few trails leading to the beach. You can fish there and the views are pretty good too! The train passes through once in a while so this may not be the best place if you're a light sleeper. Didn't meet the "dreaded supervisor" but did see him doing checkup rounds at night. It's $22 a spot and my only warning is to beware of the squirrels. They're pretty shameless and stole our crackers from right under our noses! Not afraid of people in the least, so keep your food packed away.

Let me be clear - the site itself is 5 stars..but as the previous review (see below) states - the campground "supervisor", Ralph, made the experience 1 star. He is quick to escalate; he raised his voice to me and my wife as he attempted to bully and threaten us by calling the police if I didn't move my 2nd vehicle which was parked in the day use/walk in site parking spot. We had been allowed to park their the previous 2 nights. (Thankfully, Ralph was off for those first 2 nights). It went from Ralph asking me if that was my vehicle to threats of police involvement inside of 2 minutes!! My wife and I were shocked. The rest of the night was tainted as we were on edge due to the "supervisor". I am writing to BC Parks as well, to raise awareness. I would recommend staying away from this campsite until they replace this cool guy.

A nice little campground with lots of space - particularly when you come from busy Jasper/Banff area. Try to find the small beach area at the lake - it's worth it. Sadly the mountain silence is regular disturbed by trains. The railway is really close.

Lovely camp ground but the "camp operator" is horrible... Harassed my girlfriend and I making inappropriate comments about my girlfriend. He later threatened to charge us for two sites unless we moved out vehicles immediately while in the middle of making dinner with two of our friends before demanding that our friends who had stopped in for dinner leave before eating because there was "no day use" when they were joining us for a dinner before heading to Jasper on a bike trip. Sad to see such a beautiful place be "run" by such a sad, angry man in overalls with slicked back hair, look out for him if you visit.

Stayed here for 1 night in mid August of 2016, as we passed through. Campground is primitive & not expensive. Views are extraordinary & would be the reason why we would return here. Also all the sites are surrounded by tall Trees & one feels as if you are living in the wild.
