So the drive is long with switchbacks. Then for about 2 miles of big bumps, then gravel and big bumps. Unfortunately people litter! Don’t use the restrooms they are disgusting. Once you pass all that, the waterfall is magnificent! Clean and beautiful for just $5 cash. To see the falls it’s not far from the parking lot. Like 100 ft ish. Please don’t litter. Let’s take care of this natural wonder.
This is a great spot explore on multiple visits. There's the upper, middle, and lower falls that each have their own unique views. There are also spots all along the way where you can go right down to the waters edge and get your feet wet. The trail is not difficult to navigate, mostly slight elevation changes and scenic viewpoints along the way. The area is also pet friendly. There is camping located just on the other side of the trail. The drive up is beautiful and fun. A couple sections near the end are a bit rough but it's a fun part of the whole experience and it can be navigated just fine in a typical sedan. You won't leave disappointed.
There are literally not many falls like these beautiful falls! Salmon were ending their life journey in the pools beneath the falls after having pushed upstream! The falls are incredible! Camping is available above the falls. I wish we had planned to camp!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
One of the most beautiful swimming holes I've ever been to! You can jump from the falls into water 30 ft deep. Recommended items to Bring: Water shoes Shallow end is slick Floating device Paddle board, blowup doughnut, etc Bug repellent Bugs not so bad by water, but more so the further you get away
Beautiful and highly recommended. About a 3 hour hike round trip from the upper falls to the lower falls. I'd say it's a moderate hike with maybe 1/2 of it being on an up hill slant but not too bad at all.
It's probably the most beautiful waterfall in Washington state. At least from what I've seen. It's groundbreakingly beautiful. Definitely a must see! It's an easy walk to it. No hiking experience needed. There is a campground and there are hikes around for more experience folk. Absolutely love it!
They required a reservation for parking spots on top of the parking fee. It's not expensive. Watch out if you are on a motorcycle, the last quarter of the mile going to the area is all gravel. The place is clean, and the park rangers are very pleasant. I arrived around 8am on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Beautiful waterfall. 5-10 mins walk to the waterfall viewpoint. You will need a parking permit from recreation.gov for daily permit. Easy to walk around. Well maintained. It even has campground. Total three waterfalls about 3 miles.
This place is well worth the visit. It is beautiful. If you don't have any mobility issues, you can take one of the paths down to the water.
Seasonal experiences. Road expectations below. Spring: waterfall is in full force and at its peak flow. It looks like 1 continous fall. The river is high and currents are strong, therefore it is not worth trying to cross the river as the rocks are slick and will pull you down stream. Summer: early summer the water is still high as the snow melt ends sometimes as late as may. Mid summer and during heat waves the waterfall will start to split and show several falls along its walls. The water is still high but warm and the current is significantly weaker. Late summer crossing the river is safe but still slipper, water your footing and it will be easy. *Cross at the ledge nearest to the waterfall* Fall. Colour on the leaves are absolutely stunning. Water is at the lowest until rain season kicks into full force. The water fall is in my person opinion at its prettiest point. There are several narrow falls that make for some stunning pictures. Crowds are also nearly none exsistant which makes for better pictures and a nice drive. River is super easy to cross but if the weather is cold. Then crossing can he coldly painful even to a Canadian. Winter: have yet to see for myself and will add when I do. The drive is mostly paved but there is a 2-3 mile gravel stretch. The rough is as rough as highway 90 is so be prepared for some bumps and hole along the way. The gravel will have alot of potholes and will have narrow roads. Make sure to take corners on your side of the road and slow. During peak crowd season late spring and summer be ready to pass several cars on your way in and out.
