I traveled the Lewis and Clark highway eastward from Portland on a long. slow and spectacular drive back to South Dakota, having spent the spring or 75 in the North Cascades after wintering in the Colorado Rockies. Boy and his dog, went out looking for the rainbow.. we found 'em !!

Overlooking the Columbia river nice campgrounds wooded fairly private. Only drawback is the train going by with the train horn a few times A-day

Home valley campground, hidden behind the baseball field, was a decent campground as they go. It had bathrooms and a place to fill up water. My only issue was that it was right next to the highway and the railroad tracks, which are VERY loud at night
