I recently went to Lowe's for PVC pipes. Once I did find the pipes, I needed it to be cut a certain length. I had to roam through the store several times to find someone to help. In the end, I found a group of workers who were talking to one another. None of them were willing to help. Finally, one worker, Jason, retorts with an annoyed reply that Lowe's is incapable of cutting the pipes to a certain length. He stated I must do it alone elsewhere. Then, I hear one of the other workers say under his breath to Jason that they should be able to do it. Jason looks back at the employee and says "Well you can tell them. I don't want to do that." I am disappointed at the lack of customer service.

Experiences here are very mixed. Some staff are knowledgeable and helpful. However I've had a few experiences where I've gotten very certain and wrong advice. Also they suffer from big box syndrome. Lots of store, not a lot of staff. At 7pm there were zero staff at ANY of the department desks. I went to the front desk, asked for help, went back, waited for 5 minutes and gave up. Was looking to get quotes for windows but if they can't be bothered to have staff why should I bother to spend a couple grand?

Lowes Ithaca is a good store with a lot of good people. Though, if you have a question or problem; make sure you ask the correct person.

Best customer service. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. If I were not politically opposed to big-box stores I would give 5 stars.
