I was lucky enough to catch one of my favourite House Music DJ, Louie Vega at Love Child Social House. Located at Bathurst and King, downtown Toronto. I had a really amazing time. Louie Vega was spinning some epic classics The sound was excellent. Security was great. The coat check was a bit chaotic. Unfortunately this was one of their last events as Love Child Social closed its doors on Nov 26.
I love this venue, have lots of good memories here and been to many house music parties hosted by Love Child Social. I love the fact that this is not a club but a social venue. Most of the parties here are day parties which makes it even better. I only have 1 issue: please please please fine tune your sound system, it’s not about loud bass, it’s about the quality of music, and all the different ranges that make the difference between an amazing party or just BOOM BOOM BOOM HEADACHE!
Used to be my favourite club. Great music decor and vibes. But for the past few times I went I got mistreated like crazy. Last night I showed up to lovechild with a group of 10 and was originally denied entry. Bouncers were requesting 40$ In order to enter. Once I rejected the generous offer he pulled me aggressively out of line and pushed me to the curve. First sign of disrespect. Then after 20 min of arguing I was finally granted entry, they took both my credit card and Id stating that I HAVE to buy 2 bottles and would not give me my id and credit card back. Made me upset truly. They are ended up settling down for 1 bottle even though I was not happy about that. Got no receipt and no breakdown of the order. Got charged 450 for a 300$ bottle making gratuity and tax 50%. After that horrible service as my bottle was coming in one of the bouncers grabbed me at the booth that my promoter team had. He chocked me and pushed me around brushing my ankle and shoulder. Me confused asking what’s happening? he replied that I grabbed him. I don’t know or care about him. I explained that I have no idea what he is talking about and he then said okay come in. As I tried walking in my life flashed in front of my eyes as I got grabbed by 3 big bouncers throwing me to the side like a peasant. Left my jacket inside and they said it isn’t their fault and I can’t grab it. Just to be clear the jacket was designer and not cheap. My bottle that I got overcharged for stayed inside with out me. Would never come back to this mistreatment. No one deserves this treatment especially me who promoted their club giving them more than 100 new costumers who came to spend money. Never coming back nor promoting this establishment
DO NOT go to this place. All of the staff were extremely rude except the bar tender. Made us check our wallets after going through each inch? Bouncers pushed us and slammed into the wall. We've taken legal action. Wouldn't recommend.
I was wearing black sneakers and the bouncer said I was good to come in, my friend who is Lebanese was wearing the exact same shoes as me, and he was not allowed in. A female “bouncer” who didn’t even seem like she was working there also yelled at me for trying to meet my friends in line and told me I wasn’t allowed in and had an extremely rude vibe. It really added a sour vibe to our night and it was really disappointing because I’ve been this club many times before but the staff has never been this way. Hope they can adjust their management because whatever is going on it’s not working. We also saw several other people leave for no reason. You guys can do better.
Worst experience of my life. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went on May 12th, 2022 for the Taylor Swift dance party. Security was HORRIBLE. Security groped me, talked down to me, and disrespected me and my group of friends when we were being nothing but nice and respectful. Drinks were also EXTREMELY expensive and watered down…. Waste of money. Security also kicked us out at 11pm when they were open till 3am. I will never go here ever again.
Love Child Social is absolutely stunning, everything about it is Instagramable. I just signed up for the 3 day Free trial and had a tour. I was blown away, the furnishing and decor is vintage inspired and so on trend!! It's my new office space for sure
Decent venue, sound is pretty good. $10 for a bottle of heineken and like barely any beer options, bartenders were nice though. Security is very strange, makes you throw your lighters in a bucket and than I guess take someone's lighter at random if you go out for a smoke? Let me bring in a knife though.
It's a great venue with reasonably priced beverages. Bouncers are nice. The security check is extremely thorough, don't expect to be able to bring anything in at all. They will go through every single item in your bag. They even checked my s/o's wallet.
The security and staff were very nice. The size of this club is completely depends on your preference so I won’t judge. However my issue with this place is the drinks. The bartender said they can only make “basic drinks”, which I’ve never heard of in anywhere. I had four tequila shots straight and I felt nothing, which makes me wonder if the alcohol here is watered down.
