Overall a really nice experience. The setting is great and they have a menu with lots of options gluten free included. I got the pancakes which were amazing, for the price i thought maybe they’d be more matcha ice cream but it was just a small serving. But overall I definitely recommend these. My partner got the chicken waffles, which was good but the waffle was so dense. Yes vegan cooking is sometimes a challenge but a recipe change for that is definitely needed. Or maybe it was just the end of the batter. Service was quite slow, but our server was incredibly sweet and they had minimal staff in the kitchen. So on a busy Sunday it’s very understandable. Also surprisingly inexpensive!!
I really enjoyed their different approach of preparing traditional meals such as lasagna, creme brulee and many more. Although the tastes are not what I am used to, they were still tasty and amazing in their own ways. The appetizer, main course and dessert were all flavourful and enjoyable. The various textures and flavours that complement each other makes each of their unique and complex dishes delightful. Furthermore, throughout the night, we had friendly and pleasant service which, along with the soothing decorations and atmosphere, made the dinner experience ever more enjoyable. Although, it did take quite some time before we received our food and no one checked in on us even though we had finished our meals. My biggest complaint would probably be the portions served. For the prices they charge, some could say it's reasonable but I still find it small. Nonetheless, the food tasted great and I had an amazing experience.
Love the all vegan menu! We had the lasagna, cheese burgers, dumplings and soup. The burgers were really good! We didn’t really like the soup, but overall it was a great restaurant. A friend recommended we go here since we’re vegetarian and visiting town. We just got off a long flight and our kids were a bit loud and also really excited about the snow outside and went in and out while waiting for the food despite our attempts to get them calm and seated no one complained about their behaviour and the waitress was very patient in answering my son’s questions.
Always enjoyed eating at the Lov. I’ve been to the two in downtown Montreal. It was my first time at this one. Absolutely love the décor and the atmosphere. I’m giving it 4 stars only because I found that the risotto portion was kind of small for the price. It’s one of the most pricey dish yet smaller to the lasagna. It was also lacking flavour. The mushrooms were delicious but the risotto itself felt a little blend. I still enjoy the restaurant but I wasn’t impressed this time around. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. We went for my birthday. They surprised me with a complimentary brownie which was very tasty.
fun experience, the setup and decor is really nice. obviously tough choices for me as I usually like to have meat for dinner in a restaurant but was worth the try. shared few appetizers: the beet and avocado tartar is good, it comes with Taro chips. kind of like salmon tartar servings the "calamari" plate is made of fried hearts of palm. also good choice the dumplings were good as well as the mushrooms in Scalops style. the Risotto with mushrooms was really good. the burger was ok.
Beautiful restaurant, great aesthetic, spcaious and can welcome small and big groups. This place offers vegan cuisine and they know their stuff. The menu is 1 page only of appetizers, main courses and desert, which is not much but each item was cooked well. Rosé salad: mostly sweet and sour salad that contains crunchy and chewy textures. Salade dressing consists of a mix of tahini and vinegar and the chef was very generous with the dressing. For me, too generous, but for my friends who love sour, a good amount. Mushroom dumplings: good pan-fried dumpling with mushroom filling that is quite well seasonned and goes supper well with their own version of peanut sayce without the peanuts. LOV cheese burger: Honestly was not able to identify nor taste the cheese. I believe it was the white stuff. The patty was well seasonned not trying to taste or have the same texture as meat and I was completely fine with that because the sauces and toppings and seasonning nade the burger very delicious. Kimchi fries: Easily the most underrated and my favorite dish. Fries are fresh and hot soft, the kimchi is well fermented, not spicy at all for some, it can be unfortunate and pairs soooo well with the tahini/sesame sauce. I would come back here just for these fries. Tacos: made with tofu, the tacos I'd say was the dish that was the most packed with flavor and was full of toppings. I have rarely tasted tge flavors presented and I don't know how to describe it. It was just delicious. Service here is great, cute place, great flavorful food. I highly recommend. Parking: There's a aprking lot. But on busier days, it's harder to find a spot. Still found one.
I loved everything about this place Other then the waiter toke awhile to come see us Thai curry is decent Blue Lavender latte was delicious Pancake abit on the dry side Kimchi fries were suprising good The entire experience was amazing Beautiful place
Beyond amazing! The food tasted wonderful. Service was excellent I was surprised because they were really busy and still managed to deal with everyone.
The atmosphere is so uplifting and everything is so gracefully set and placed beautifully. It makes me want to be more mindful about my food when I taste such exquiste meals.
Fish and chips with tartar sauce: actually breaded tofu filets. Doesn't taste like much without the tartar sauce but nicely breaded and tastes good with the sauce Calamari: tempura palm hearts - very very good Kimchi fries: we added $1 to get sweet potato fries instead. It makes it sweet and spicy and sour all at the same time Cheeseburger: tastes like real cheese, the patty is not bland and all and is tasty. I do recommend using a firmer bun as it does stick to your teeth Overall, I’d get the burger and calamari again
