Lorain County Probate Court

Can't give a zero, but a nasty place to get a marriage license.The woman yes only 1 person was cold and impersonal. When we told her we wanted to get married in 2 weeks she acted like that was impossible and told us that we wouldn't even be considered until we had an appointment? Appointment for what? Really? Lorain County Really needs to step it up. Fortunately my spouse to be has an address in another county.What the hell Lorain I pay taxes for this? Going to speak to an attorney maybe we can start a class action lawsuit for potentially ruining our special day.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Getting your marriage license should be such a happy moment and they were so rude and made it awful. Never sent me my copy of my certificate of marriage its been a month now. Then I called and their response was " there is only one of me, and we don't mail the certificate you have to come get them" When I don't believe that to be true, it was an awful experience and made it so unenjoyable. Still don't have my certificate.

Very unresponsive. Obtaining copies of our marriage license was a frustrating experience. I left several voicemails before calling through to someone on the general probate questions option.

The Probate clerk was very helpful with getting the process started!

Its a court house....waddya expect

Ben Davey has to be one of the most incompetent magistrates I have seen. He accepted hearsay and my aunt's conjecture as facts. He then proceeded to berate me. He also mentioned in the court that he talked to my aunt on the phone prior to the case....this struck me as odd. Well, he ruled against me and accepted the verifiable lies when you look at property history and sales of my grandmother's house and it kept me from my grandmother until her dying day. My aunt sold my grandma's house the house Ben Davey accepted was property of the nursing home [which it wasn't], and she bankrolled my grandmother. They barely visited my grandmother and from what I heard from family my grandma withered away and died. I gave 2 stars because Judge Miraldi and Judge Janik are good. Little tip for Mr. Davey if he ever reads this; maybe from now on you should judge on what is verifiable facts and not take sides before judgement. You got played for a fool Mr. Davey.

I just hate this place.
