Had an excellent home made corned beef hash, two eggs over easy, and toast at one of the few local breakfast joints open Monday, all for $8.50. Friendly, prompt service in a classic railcar diner. Thai food is also offered, if you want to mix it up a bit, and no salt is used, that being left to each customer's preference. A definite returner!
Excellent Thia shrimp salad. Cannot await until the seasonal pies & desserts come in. Nice time to catch up with Kevin the owner too!
Service is spectacular. Portions are huge. Prices are small. Selections are well prepared and tasty. Highly recommend the Big Bowl of Thai soup or ground sirloin.
8am walked in and was seated with my coffee in hand: under 4 minutes! Quick menu check and went with #1 Daily Special. Food on table before my coffee was gone. Giant fluffy pancakes..salty bacon..perfect as ordered over medium eggs. Wish we lived close enough to make this a regular spot for breakfast. Waitress was friendly too! Not a lot of seats but very cool diner vibes.
My secret go to spot for breakfast. Been going for the last 14 years. Kathy is the best waitress. My favorite place to load up on potatoes lol
Thoroughly impressed with the breakfast here. Cooked well, not grease soaked, tastes good... And a reasonably priced place with good portion size. Consistent quality slammed out here. Not fancy but well prepared, looks and tastes good.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Fantastic perfect for a two person breakfast!! Adorable and up to date! Good food and great service
First time here. Was seated immediately and the food was very good. Service was very friendly. Great find.
I have not eaten at this restaurant since it changed hands. Pie was the former owner and she was an excellent cook with a great personality to top it all off. My former mother in law owned this restaurant for years. It was Shirley's coffee cup at that time. Shirley Hergert was the chief cook and bottle washer. Many of her very own recipe's were starred by her in this diner. Yes, a side car diner. Shirley was an excellent cook. And her customers grew largely while she was the owner. She sold this diner and ended up getting it back. She resold again. Someone mentioned in the comments about no bathroom. There is a bathroom but its outside under the building. Only used for workers and not the public. I can't give a rating on the current owner as i have not tried the food. One thing i heard is the current owner has slacked on portion size and food quality. This is a big mistake that a new owner can do to sabotage his business. This restaurant is known for homemade food and nothing more. Someone said in the reviews that it is a lot like bar food. I really miss my mother in laws home made cooking. She has passed away..
Not crowded but busy. Friendly, fast service with good food. I loved their corned beef hash with a couple of over easy eggs! My wife had biscuits & gravy and said it was really good too. Parked at the curb, right in front of their door. Our destination was about a half mile away, but their parking lot was full so we gave the Coffee Cup a try.
