Where's the negative star? When I applied for a car loan and transferred all my accounts over to LOC 3 years ago, I was told by LOC at that time that working with credit unions was much better than working with banks because credit unions look at your entire financial picture, will consider your history with them, and will create ways for you to get the money you need when you need it instead of having big bank mentality where if you don't fit in their small parameters, you're just out of luck. I paid off my car loan early with no late payments and never had an issue with them whatsoever. I recently applied for a personal loan and they pulled my credit and got my income info. My credit was good enough for A class rates. When it came to my income though, it was a little tricky. I recently bought my family business which I worked my entire life. My weekly paycheck is the same as it always was except now as the owner of a corporation, the way I take my pay is a little different. I could not provide them with an actual pay stub at first because no pay stubs had been actually made. Presidents of corporations like mine take draws instead. I showed them my weekly draws and even provided the first quarter financial report for my business which includes showing my draws I had taken and the business profits that I will also be assuming on my taxes at the end of the year. They would not except any of that or seeing my weekly draw from my business, with a business check being deposited into my LOC account as proof of my income. After talking with Rachael, apparently the only way anyone can prove their income is with a pay stub. If you don't get a pay stub, apparently you don't make any money. Rachael didn't like me very much because after we had a debate on the phone about proving income, every time I called in after that looking to speak with her, she had someone new talk to me. The few times I did talk with her after that she was very short, uninformative with me and borderline rude. A few days later I was able to put together some form of pay stub for them to see as they requested and I got a call back saying they would not except what was submitted and denied my loan. Even though I make plenty of money that they can see get deposited in my account at their establishment, my credit was great and more importantly my history with them is fabulous, it wasn't enough for them to help try and figure out a way to accomplish what I needed, even after I explained to them I did not want to have to apply at several banks and watch my credit score go down after every new pull. I even asked to speak to someone in underwriting to explain my situation since Rachael pretty much had deaf ears and she wouldn't let me do that either. Do not listen to their lies about how credit unions are different then banks because they are not. They do not possess the small town feel they bragged about when I joined them. If you don't fit in their small little box, you're out of luck. I don't even have an LOC branch near where I live and still chose them based on what they told me. I will be looking for a new bank. Maybe another bank out there will step up a little when a customer needs it. It's a shame really because as a small business owner myself I really try to use other small businesses as a rule and stay away from big corporations and felt I was doing a good thing supporting a local credit union. I wish I would have gotten the same back!

I had went & opened a checking's account along with a savings account back in April. HUGE MISTAKE! I have had nothing but problems with this place. Deposit I had made was on hold for a week. I was told to do a couple of steps to get a refinance done on my auto loan... I was completely lied to. I followed all the steps and paid off debts. Got told that I was good to go. Went in and sat down with Crystal. she gave me a rate of 5.5% and my payment. Long story short, she called me the next day being very very rude trying to end the conversation when I was trying to ask her questions on what to do. I have had nothing but disappointments with this place and don't recommend anyone to bank with them. Also, do not consult with Crystal. I know many others who have had issues with her and her attitude. very disappointing.

Horrible customer service I was sitting in the lobby for 45 minutes to open and account for my son and was over looked several times than was asked what I was waiting for (after I was told to sit were I was sitting) come to find out there was some one in the back that "couldn't see me" and was on the computer the entire time....this happend once before as well. Do not bank here you will loose your valuable time

Good experience with loans, personal and business accounts (with exception of unfamiliarity of them helping us with a loan for a used horse trailer and the need for appraisal of value).
