I grew up in the area. Played lacrosse and went swimming and hung out at the skating Court community centre nearby. It’s also right next-door to Ryerson public school that I attended 30 years ago. Glad to see the area becoming a little bit more yuppie and upscale. I hope they don’t forget about the all-time people living here there

Beautiful park at dundas and Bathurst. There is a pool and hockey area inside the park. Easiest way to get there use tramway or walking from spadina or st george subway. There are some activities during the summer season

Great city centre park with a skating / hockey rink in the winter, skate park in the summer and baseball diamond. Close to famous and eclectic parts of Toronto like Kensington Market and Chinatown. Hosts a lot of fun events. Probably not picnic material per se, but a cool and happening place.
