Reviews
Just had terrible experience at this location. I noticed that sparkling wine price on receipt was different from the one listed at the shelf. The store attended checked the price and calculated the difference and returned me the flat difference only, not taking in account that originally taxes were calculated on the bigger number, so she should've returned more then just a difference between the price. She returned the money with a comment that it is only 44 cents difference, implying I should've not made a big deal about it. I said that I think the law says it should be free now, since they sold it at the wrong price. She started yelling at me and said I need to check the law better, and all they need is to return me the difference. She took all the receipts original and never gave me the return one and kept yelling until I left. Well, it's not about 44 cents that actually should be more, if calculated correctly. It's about being wrong and rude instead of apologizing when caught on cheating on customers.
Staff needs to be re-trained and learn AGLC regulations. Went in there with my 21 yo son and my 16 yo daughter. The rude cashier demanded ID from both my son and my daughter who had no ID and wouldn’t sell anything to us because she believed I was going to give my daughter alcohol. As the PARENT, it is MY choice if I share with her in the privacy of my own home. Management backed her up. Learn the laws and hire friendlier staff. Will not shop here!
Lots of booze to choose from... so u can pick ur poison so to speak... convenient location in Callingwood with easy access.
I'm actually really happy with this location. Service has always been great. We used to go to great Canadian liquor superstore, but we found out that liquor depot will price match within reason.
I am a regular there. I often bring my puppies when I shop and they often keep treats for my babies. Love the staff and service!!
Most of the complainers in the review comments probably come from the Crack Towers and can be rightfully dismissed. The staff are all solid. 13/13
Several interactions at location and there are maybe 2-3 friendly staff members. I believe the manager is Deanna and she is EXTREMELY rude, bad attitude, barely acknowledges you when you say “hello” or even “thank you”. They all need a refresher on customer service protocol.
This is MY go to liquor store. Close to home but not the closest and not even 2nd closest. What keeps me coming back is their friendly staff who have a good knowledge of the products that they sell. As well as the great selection of spirits .It's hard for me to say a bad word about this establishment. Keep up the great work .They will continually get my business. Give them a chance ,they you won't be disappointed.
Can't complain, staff is friendly and courteous, I was moving recently and was needing boxes for that and asked the staff to hold them if they could, so I got the boxes : for finding beer it doesn't have the widest variety but has a fair selection of hard liquor
The atmosphere in this store is awful. Yes, I've been ID'd upon entering the store -- that is a bit irritating but I do look young, so I'm not going to argue with that. But I've also CLEARLY been followed around by employees like I'm going to steal from them I mean, you could be a tiny bit more discreet, no? and have been spoken to condescendingly when I asked questions about products. With so many other options in the area, I'm gonna avoid this liquor store from now on.
