Lighthouse & Beach Motel

We stayed in the Lighthouse Room (an actual converted lighthouse!) for four days an in one of the rooms for another. The Lighthouse is amazing. I mean, who DOESN'T want to stay in a lighthouse?!? The deck, the jacuzzi bath (perhaps that wasn't original equipment), the bed overlooking the water (because that's what lighthouses do,right?)... The continental breakfast was excellent, the staff and management were fun and friendly. We also stayed in a room for one night (to accommodate a previous booking), and it was of course brand new (the whole place has been renovated from the foundation up for this year!) and on par with any other really nice motel anywhere. And did I mention the beautiful beach (Sheep Pond) at the shore's edge? Absolutely one of the best vacation lodging choices to make.

The Lighthouse Beach Motel has been recently renovated and it looks fresh, clean, modern and beachy. I was super impressed with the upgrades and of course, the exceptional view! Only a minute away from picturesque Sheep's Pond beach, you're practically in paradise. The Staff was friendly and overall it was a lovely experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on the Eastern end of PEI.

I would warn travellers NOT to book at lighthouse and beach motel. We called and make our reservation by phone. After we travelled from halifax and arrived for check in we found that they had lost our reservation of 2 rooms so our party of 7 (including our children) and dog had no place to stay for the night. There was a young man working the front desk who did seem truly mortified and we appreciated his apologies. They offered to call around to see if any other spots were available. When the owner stepped in to call her cottage buddies, laughing and reminiscing on the phone while we were to be stranded for the night due to their error this left a sour taste in our mouth (along with the fact that she took no responsibility for the situation). We decided to leave after about 10 minutes as it was clear there would be no available place for our large family on the long weekend. The owner's adolescent daughter stopped us on the way out, smiling from ear to ear that we had no place to stay, to tell us we were rude and to leave the property. I've never been treated so badly, and I truly hope if you do decide to book a room at this motel that you have a place to lay your head at night (and don't have to encounter this level of tactlessness).

WOW! We stayed here 2 yrs ago and it had been very run down and in need of big repair. This year under new ownership the renovations are Awesome! What a beautiful spot and accommodations! Brand new up dated rooms and that view is spectacular!

Excellent for the price, cheap and freshly renovated, looks all new. Was pretty cold in the room but otherwise nice place
