Decent gym. Worst customer service ever. If you do get a hold of someone, they can't help you. The person who can, does not return phone calls. This is at a local level and corporate as well. I've emailed corporate for information multiple times over the past year and never received a response. Once you join, the quality of customer service drops dramatically. That may be important to some more than others.

I've been going here for 3 years, my whole family goes there...between the 3 of years we spend 450 a month... besides that I eat at the cafe everyday spend so much money on all of their stuff... and they got upset with me for bringing a guest twice... even though they never signed him or anything, I drove 40 minuets there and they made my guest and I drive home and wouldn't even let me in... so disrespectful. No one informed me about any policies and it is also their job to make my guest sign in but they did not and that is their fault and I know everyone that works their you'd think they'd inform me. On top of this they have terrible customer service latley because of the new staff that works there... evidently shown by the new reviews left by people who were just as displeased as I was with my customer service.

I gave it a one star to draw attention to a really ridiculous policy. If you cancel three days into your month, they won't credit you back for the un-used portion, which okay, maybe understandable. But, they then will charge you for TWO ADDITIONAL months after you cancel. Total BS. If you join, require that they strike that from the membership agreement. Otherwise it is a top notch facility.

*Displeased with UNSANITARY conditions in the LADIES LOCKER ROOMS AND BATHROOMS throughout the club!!** I have been a member of LIfetime Montvale since they opened this location in November of 2013. There are many positives about this club. I love the kids academy and my training program, but lately the quality of my experience has gone down hill. The current manager Pat is there temporarily and he made this clear to me when I went to let him know about unsanitary conditions in the ladies locker room. Since the previous manager has left the club, the ladies locker room had not been properly staffed. The toilet stalls are always unflushed, paper towels and toilet paper litter the floor and the counters are always wet. The trash cans are constantly overflowing. At the ladies room by the indoor pool, not only was the trash can full but there was no toilet paper and the holder for the toilet paper was missing off the stall. This stall should have been marked out of order or in need of repair. I reported these conditions to the staff and an hour later nothing had been done. Furthermore in the same week, besides the bathroom being filthy, one of the toilet seats was covered in feces and when I reported this to the general manger he was quick to blame the facilities manager and told me when the new female general manager started the ladies room would be in better shape-I was totally put off by his callous attitude and slightly sexist statement. He didn't seem at all disgusted that the facilities were not being maintained to high standards. He came across as not caring about the condition of the club as he was only there temporarily. I truly hope when the new manager comes that the unsanitary conditions in the ladies room get better.

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE SPA. I went to Mari for blonde/ warm golden balyage highlights. I chose to do balyage because I am 8 months pregnant and specifically said I did not want chemicals sitting on my scalp. Mari took it on her own accord to choose a reddish balyage color and then when I asked if my hair was red at the sink because I happened to see part of it on my shoulder she said NO. She proceeded to go in the back by the sink and mix what she TOLD me was a toner. The girl applying it questioned her and I heard Mari tell her that it would neutralize my hair. I just figured this was a low ammonia glaze. I was okay with that. After keeping me at the sink for 15m-- my eyes were burning and the smell was strong-- they assured me it was just a glaze. When the 'glaze' came off--- I went to the mirror- my hair was a murky- red/blonde color. My natural color-- which I had been growing in for over TWO YEARS was GONE. MARI took it upon herself to apply PERMANENT color to my hair and change the entire base color. I did not ask for this and did not want it done ESP because I am pregnant. Then when I asked her about what she used-- she LIED to me again and told me it was just a glaze. My regular girl--- confirmed upon having to color correct and fix the color that she definitely changed my beautiful base!! After waiting for over 15m to speak with a manager I left without paying- upset and lied to. The manager called me later and told me to send her a picture of my hair. She concluded that Mari was upset and felt she should be paid and that it didn't look THAT bad in the pictures. I told her they should pay ME for my time, being lied to and having to now spend a fortune to color correct it! The manager (Sam?) ended up charging my account wth the $100.00 (all the flex money) I had in it. SUCH awful moral, such awful service. I would never ever ever ever ever go there for anything. Go to a real salon for color and cuts. And STEAR CLEAR OF MARI.
