American Woman Fitness Center is an all women's gym and a gym for all women! We offer a wide variety of group fitness classes as well as one-on-one personal training sessions with our staff of experienced and certified trainers. We feature state of the art cardio and weight training equipment, private shower facilities, a heated pool, a whirlpool and even a sauna. We also have a childcare with child-cam so that you don’t have to worry about what your kids are doing during your workouts. We offer swim lessons for both children and adults in addition to hosting pool parties on the weekend. If you are looking for a friendly,comfortable environment to get healthy and happy in, you have found it.

It is not good, they made so hard to canceled the membership, continue to charge you even you are no longer there. It is closed at lunch time on weekends. I can't never use that place, but they want you to pay.I will not recommend that place.

DISHONEST BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! They raise rates without notification, their cancellation policy violates consumer protection laws.. and if you complain to Better Business Bureau they cancel your membership without notice. Lets also not forget how dirty the place is, moldy, doors falling off. When you go to see if you want to go there.. look at pools missing tiles, look at ceiling.. moldy.. look at brand new paint job that was completed by a blind man. LOW CLASS .. Office staff peggy will hang up on you after a 10 second conversation and cancel your membership without notice

The gym in oakland does not have adequate machines or amount of space available for a good workout. The gym is tight, with no freeweight squat rack. And only 1 5lb, 2 10lb, and 2 25lb weights for their squat machine!! What are you supposed to do with that. I cancelled my membership after 2 days, and management reassured me that i would receive a full refund. Well it's been 28 days, no refund, no one is returning my multiple calls and messages I left. I've been calling customer service and the manager in charge leaving multiple messages since NO ONE picks up their phone. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. You'll regret it, and then have a hassle trying to get a refund, if you get one at all! They'll do anything to get you to sign, then not come through!
