Liberte Cafe and Restaurant

The place is is impressively nice in terms of ambience. Their staff are very efficient, polite and friendly. They are servings really good Filipino dishes and desserts with a little bit of Western Asian fusion. Their online menu looks so mouth watering and their actual serving is very generous and presented exactly like how they looked in the photos. I have nothing negative to say. There is a free 2 hour basement parking right behind the cafe.

Glad I found this place. The ambiance is very comfortable here. There’s outdoor seating as well as roomy indoor booths. The washrooms and spaces are clean very important. The food was good, as was the service. The coffee was excellent. Lots of Asian-type meats being offered - which my family always loves. Personally, I wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu. Otherwise, everything was great!

Food was served quickly and everything was very tasty. Quite possibly the best smoked salmon eggs benedict I’ve ever had. The hash browns were seasoned perfectly and I appreciated the fresh salad to balance out the meal. I have 2 and 4 year old kids who enjoyed the breakfast waffles and fruit. The staff also accommodated my request for a small hot chocolate with less sugar for the kiddos. All in all highly recommended and we’ll be back.

Came here with some friends for brunch and had a lovely time! The decor is very cute, and the service and food were excellent. We tried several dishes including the spaghetti, the Tapsilog, and chicken and waffles. We also had the Ube latte hot and cold. I’d suggest getting it with some sugar to get more of the ube flavor. Because we came on Father’s Day weekend, they made cute little meringues which was a nice personal touch. The owner also came by to chat several times and was super friendly. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.

The ube waffles were a new experience for me, and a good one! Fried chicken and waffles were solid, and the chicken sausages my friend had were also delicious. Some standard brunch fare with a mix of interesting and unique plates to try. Would go back in the future!

Really good breakfast. The sausage has kind of sweet flavor. It was really good. Benny was delicious!! Only thing not that good is the coffee, I had lavender latte. It's sort of too sweet but not too much lavender flavor. Overall, it was a decent brunch for us.

It was our first time here and we were just so excited to try everything on the menu. This place is truly a hidden gem in Vancouver. The ube waffle with mango ice cream was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to try the other options soon.

Liberte Cafe by Metrotown at 3670 Vanness Ave. Filipino fusion food. Not bad. Would go back to try their desserts and waffles. Their ube waffle is supposed to be a top seller. Bottomless pop is free with any of the meals. We had to wait quite long for our food despite going at 2pm but it was fresh. One plate had some very overcooked eggs so we asked them to replace it which they did so very willingly which I appreciate. Presentation was nice.The beef was a kinda dry/overcooked but I'm not sure if that Filipino style or not. The Longanisa sausage was tasty. Overall the flavors were quite good. Service was friendly. Ambience is also very nice. No plexiglass partitions between tables if that matters to you.

Tried a new spot for brunch on Saturday. Liberte is located in a residential area, close to Joyce Skytrain. A Phillipino Restaurant, hidden gem! Place is bright, modern with tall ceiling. It is small so limited seating. Staff is very friendly but customer service is lacking. Staff, after you get your food, don't come by asking how the food is or if you needed any water or more coffee or whatever. We had to flag down a server for water and than the bill. For a small place that wasn't too busy, bit of a let down. But consistent with other people's grip as well. Only knock. Other than that food was great. presentation was excellent and lots of different options on the menu. We had the smoked salmon Bennie, meat lovers omlette I think was the name and burger. We'll definitely be back to try other items. Must try spot everyone!

Really great food, especially all things ube purple yam! Whether iced like "ube milk" or hot latte style, it's great. And the breakfast was hearty and great. But my goodness the lovely servers are just overwhelmed. It's understaffed on this Saturday, meaning people left waiting while tables go unattended and service was compromised. That being said, they were all pleasant and the food was excellent. I'd love to come here again when it's less busy/better staffed!
