Lew Murphy's Smoke & BBQ

As per the recommendation of the two people that we know, we tried the place and we’re pleasantly surprised! Hubby’s baby back ribs passed his palate. He said, didn’t even need the knife to cut the meat up. Had to stop him halfway as I felt that it was too much to eat in just one sitting. The baked beans he said was also delicious. I Will probably try next time. My fussy son so doesn’t like creamy macaroni finished the mac n cheese and said it was tasty. Another kid’s meal we ordered was burger & potato fries. The potato fries was really good, serving was generous, shared it with my daughter. The burger and Caesar salad ended up being taken home. Hubby had the burger after freezing it when we got home and ate it the next day and was impressed with the thick patty. I had the smoked chicken nachos and was good too. Serving is generous. Definitely worth one’s money. This place is underrated. A really must try. The lady who served us was very pleasant too. Even had small talk with my son. And if I remember it right, the owner of this place have done something really good for the community during the height of the pandemic. I wish I could remember what that was but I’m certain it’s the owner of the company that owns this spot. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends.

First time today! Eek! Enjoyed every bite! Had the smoked chicken club. Delish! Sweet potato fries? Crispiest ever! Went with a friend cause we are both on vacation, so we decided on an adult beverage, cause why not?! Had the "Loose Canon" cause that's what we are, hehe. It was so good. My friend had the ribs with a Caesar salad & said they were great. I tried her baked beans that came with & loved them. Service was good! Nice atmosphere! I'm going back! If you haven't been there yet, DO IT!

Only rating one star because i didnt pay for my meal. Went to lew murphys today to dine in. I ordered the briskets with mac and cheese and ftench fries and my wife ordered chicken fried steak with scalloped potatoes and ceaser salad. When my brisket arrived at the table it tasted like a dry plain peice of meat with no type of seasoning at all. The mac and cheese just tasted like butter an noodles. The only good part of my meal was the fries. The chicken fried steak was extremely salty and also very dry, the scalloped portatoes we flavourless. It was a bummer as from the reviews we expectes something great but got a meal that just seemed like it wasnt cared about at all. I dont think we will never be eating there again

What great food! Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of gluten free options Their baked beans are some of the best we have ever had. Their coleslaw was terrific. Ribs - great, very meaty. Portions were large. We had alot of food to eat. The Chocolate Pecan Pie was amazing and again a large serving. Easy for the two of us to share. We had such a lovely meal we forgot to take picture. We will go again. Kid-friendliness: Yes. 4 items on the kids menu. Parking: Easy.

Just arrived in New Minas NS, from Ontario and we decided to check out Lew's. We both had the Half Rack sweet heat BBQ ribs with baked beans and scalloped potatoes. Awesome! After a full day of driving this place was just what we needed. Highly recommend. Service is prompt and friendly, food is great!

Really good food and great staff! They bring in local artists for live music which really boost the already great atmosphere. In each of the booths along the wall there are either country style decorations or diagrams of each of the cuts of meat for some of their dishes. Large portion sizes, with good pricing. Would recommend if you are in the mood for southern-esque BBQ. My recommended dish there is the Brisket, tender and comes with no sauce, just a small amount of spices. Kid-friendliness: It is a BBQ pub style restaurant, not a place specifically for children but definitely child friendly. Parking: Shared parking lot with a strip mall. Tons of parking available at all times

I really like their been with porch rip! And pork rip was so soft and sweet and anyway it was so delicious. If I visit there again, I will reorder it again.

We visited this restaurant when they were doing their initial opening and although we found the sampler platters to be nice, unfortunately the portion sizes were too small to get a real sense of the flavour. We wanted to go back and a couple of weeks ago my wife and I did. We found the portion sizes to be very acceptable we actually had some leftovers because my wife's eyes were bigger than her stomach. The flavour profiles were or at least twice appeared to be a little different than when we initially visited the restaurant and that's maybe because we actually had a proper portion size instead of the sampler. A good example would be the corn bread. The corn bread during the sampler wasn't big enough to really get a good sense of its flavour. Fortunately now with proper size meals, it was quite nice. I myself really enjoyed the pulled pork and I found that it was not as sweet as the sampler but the flavour was better because I don't like overly sweet food. My wife had the ribs and although she had the ribs without sauce, they were still quite nice. The staff were quite friendly and happy to serve. It was overall a very pleasant dining experience. As far as the pricing goes, I don't find it to be overly priced. We have eight at several different barbecue restaurants around the province and the pricing is in line with the other options. Overall, it was a nice experience and personally I look forward to going back as well as getting their large family take owed for some upcoming events

First time visiting this restaurant. Food was great but I was more impressed with the service from the lady working. Before seating us, she let us know she was the only one working and things may take a little longer than usual. My friends and I were okay with that as we weren't starving and were going there to socialize with each other as well. Back to the waitress lady... she was friendly, funny and attentive to us. I will go back again just because of how awesome she was. I forgot to catch her name but she wore glasses and had grey hair. 10/10 recommend.

I ordered the brisket and smokes chicken legs and the brisket was tender and juicy. The chicken legs were also good but very spicy. My wife ordered the sweet ribs and they were amazing as well. I recommend this place anytime
