My friend and I found this place through Google and thought we'd try it out. While I hadn't had Thai food before, I've tried many other Asian cuisines and was excited to try some since I have relocated from a very rural location that had NO Asian options. We arrived after a rainy walk, the side streets were packed on a Wednesday night so we had to walk two blocks for parking. The decor is nothing special, but it doesn't detract from the experience. We got the best seat in the house- a two seater table in front of the window so we could watch dogs go by. We used our phones to bring up the menu as they have a QR code available on each table unsure if they have paper copies or not and we decided to order a couple things and split them between us. It didn't take long for the hostess to come over and take our order, being sure to clarify our order and the meat options we wanted, taking note of the spice level of each dish. Only 3 other tables had patrons, but many people came through the door to pick up take out. Our 3 dishes came out one at a time, and the hostess happily got us plates so we could share our dishes. The red curry was perfect in terms of flavour and temperature, to me at least, again, I've never had real Thai food unless you count the frozen items I've bought and reheated at home. We had tofu in it which was the only downside to this whole experience- I found it to be crispy on the outside, but hollow in the middle. My friend had no complaints about it. We got a side of Jasmine rice and crispy crunchy shrimp rolls and they were the perfect temperature. Lastly, our chicken pad Thai was superb. No complaints, we even thought the portion size was good for one person if that was all you ordered. I can't wait to go back with my husband and recommend it to other people!
The Pad thai was not bad , the pineapple fried rice 17.95$ at this price for one serving has no taste, the rice is very mushy and wet. Only Tom Kha soup quite good forget to take picture
It was very nice inside and clean, service was ok. You can use your phone or ask for a menu. I got the Wong tong soup if your not a fan of white pepper on top you might want to let them know and I got the Pad See ew think I spelled that right it was delicious. Though I remember it being a bit bigger.
Pad thai came spilling over all over the floor and table. Server didn’t even bother cleaning the table and when asked for napkins was ignored. Pad thai had no taste at all, it was more of a soup.
Despite loving Thai food, I hadn't tried Lemongrass primarily since their Google rating generally sits in the high "3s", and I usually look for food ratings 4 and above... Well, I'm glad I decided to try them! I had the Red Curry with chicken extra spicy, and it was great!! Fresh and tasty with a decent amount of spice, I would say it was right up there with my other favorites in the city Khao Thai probably being near the top.. Definitely give these guys a try and remember to toss them a five star rating if you enjoy it to bump those numbers up where they belong!
Just got takeout from here. Ordered the red curry and cashew chicken and it was amazing. Well priced, tasty, and good packaging. Make sure you order rice if you want since it doesn’t come with any of the main dishes.
Horrible, slow service. We went Friday 5 May 2023 in the evening. I went with my partner and we waited 10 mins to get a drink menu and for her to tell us they do not have a physical food menu and we need to scan the QR code on the table, which we could have been doing that entire time we were waiting if she told us that was the only option. She then took another 30 mins without acknowledging us I got a text a few minutes after we got the drink menu and used it as a time reference, at which point we left. I don't think she even noticed we left. Her movements were slow and illogical. At some point she picked up her notepad which we thought she was going to take orders and then went to try and clear a table.. but because she was holding a notepad for no reason, she could only use one hand so it took her three rounds to clear off a small table. What's ridiculous is after that whole ordeal, she didn't even take orders from anybody. If you're the owner, you should check the cameras and see how horrible the service was.
Ok food overall. Prices are slightly inflated and not reflective of the quality and quantity of the food served. Service is adequate. In comparison to Siam Bistro this Thai restaurant is very mediocre. Otherwise its only worth visiting if you are already in the area and out of other options for Thai cuisine.
The atmosphere is very nice. Sweet & romantic, good for couples or a small group of friends. The staff is very polite. The food was made well. The soup was delicious. But we found the mango salad and main dish had way too much fish sauce. It overpowered the other flavours in the dish. The restaurant was seemingly authentic Thai, but when we stayed and ate in Thailand ourselves for a month, we never tasted traditional Thai food with such a strong fish sauce flavor. Maybe this is a different style? For those like us who can don't mind some fish sauce, this definitely isn't the place for you. But if you don't mind a LOT, you'll like these dishes. The only thing that really bothered me: I asked for extra "sauce" for the 2 spring rolls since what came with it was barely enough for 1 like all Thai restaurants. But they said that would cost extra like all Thai restaurants. Don't love this cutting corners thing from any restaurant. But even worse- they wanted to charge me for hot sauce on the side! A squirt in a small container. That was a disappointment.
Great food! I had the Crispy Beef with rice. Also tried the Tofu Pad Thai which wasn't bad. The sake was warm instead of hot and the service was slow even though it wasn't busy. Overall not a bad experience.
