Social Thai

I used to go social Thai before their recent upgrade. The food was alway delicious and the service is consistent. They are now more of a causal dining space with Thai food and a cafe. I really like the new vibe and the shorter menu. They do have some gluten free options which is great- but they are not indicated on the menu so just ask one of the people at the front. When I went in this time I got a gluten free pad Thai with shrimp and it was perfect. It has the right amount of sweetness and topped with crunch cashews and bean sprout. Next time I go in I am eager to try more options and also give their coffee and pastries a try!

Came here for the “supreme croissants” and they did not disappoint! We got a box full of goodies and each was just as delicious. I also got a Thai fog to go and it was perfectly sweet and cozy for my walk home. They have small in house made baked treats for your dog too! Cute place, bright with few seats inside and friendly service.

The tastiest family-owned Thai restaurant in Ottawa with the friendliest people serving up some fantastic Thai food! Their Pad See Ew is really good. If you want to try something a little different, you can’t go wrong with their Kimchi Pad Thai! Their dining room is no longer open but they have the cutest walk-up window for take out orders and they have two large patio tables in front of the store.

The food on Social Thai is the best Thai food I've ever eaten. My favorite foods are pad thai and vegetable spring rolls. You should go to Social Thai!!

I was very excited to try out this place since I love thai cuisine. Pad thai was pretty tasty but I didn’t like the concept of eating out of the paper box in the restaurant. The pricepoint is also not the lowest so getting everything in one plate the soup, the skewers is not so enjoyable. Overall taste of the food is nice but would be just nice to be appreciated more as a quest.

I was spending a day in ottawa during the week end and i was looking forward to try their supreme croissants that i kept on seeing on Instagram. They had the cinnamon crunch flavor. It was the best thing ever. The filling was very light and fluffy, not too sweet, the croissant was flaky and delicious. I highly recommend this place. Hopefully ill get to try other flavors next time I stop by

The quality is good, the portions are small for the price range. They charge an upscale price and I can respect that. But to serve me my curry in a takeout container with packaged plastic cutlery ruins the entire experience. I want to feel like I'm at a sit down place, not Thai express. Let's not forget that the staff was very short with me and also never came to check how my meal was. Basically a "here's your stuff eat it and go" mentality. I feel disrespected.

OH MY GAWD SO GOOD! Fresh, delicious, and flavourful! I'm so glad I ordered this food. It made me really happy. I got Tom Kha soup Thai spicy and pad thai spicy and the spicy was perfect. I will definitely be ordering again. The take out window is fantastic! I'm excited to order from it in the winter! The only constructive feedback I have would be cutlery chopsticks and a soup spoon, and napkins with my take out order would have been appreciated, but the food was delicious nonetheless

Sometimes I have good experiences here but sometimes I don't. I ordered the calamari last time and I got small portion of it mixed in with lots of vegetables. It doesnt say on the menu that it comes with vegetables, so I was disappointed. I do like their spice level.
