I started seeing Jason last year after my therapist of 14 years passed away suddenly.  I felt extremely lost, overwhelmed with anxiety, not knowing how I was going to continue to move forward without the person who had helped me since I was super young.  It was super scary to have to reopen myself to someone new, someone who didn't know anything about me and my past but Jason has helped me so much.  I resisted at the start, but after two sessions I knew I had found the right person to help me with this new chapter in my life.  He doesn't pressure me to come see him and he has such a calm demeanor which I appreciate.  To have a male perspective has really helped me and Jason is understanding, compassionate and he makes my sessions fun, not always focusing on everything negative.  I would highly recommend him.

I’ve been seeing Jason for over two years now, since July 2016.  I can’t express how much my life has improved since beginning our sessions.  I was in such a bad place, and it felt like nothing I did could ever get me out.  Jason gave me the tools I needed to lift myself out of that hole, and to keep picking myself up whenever I stumbled.  He’s always focused on teaching me to help myself.  His mindfulness/CBT approach has taught me so much about my own thoughts, things I didn’t even realize I had been doing that were hurting me or stopping my progress.  I feel so much better prepared to tackle what the world throws at me.  I feel like most people can benefit from therapy, and Jason provides such an open, accepting space, free of judgement.  He genuinely cares about me and wants me to improve, celebrating every victory.  I’m so glad I was referred to him.  I’ve had such an ambivalent experience with counsellors before, so it was a relief to meet someone I really connected with.  Jason is easy to trust and get along with, and has made my journey to positive mental health so much easier.

Jason is a great counsellor! Has been of great help to me. He hears to all you have to say and responds to you in a way which is straight and kind at the same time. Would definitely suggest to reach out to him if you are thinking of talking to someone.
