We celebrated our son's Baptism reception here and they were wonderful! The foods were all delicious we ordered the combos they offer and their customer service was beyond amazing! They were so kind to accomodate with our requests to make it buffet style, for us to bring some cake and desserts without charging any corkage fees and even to design our buffet area. They are the best! I highly recommend this place! Thanks as well to Shirley for all the help!
Really authentic and tasty food. The Sichuan Fish in broth is always really good. Very spicy and lots of fish and vegetables. The beef roll is tasty too and massive. The servers are all very friendly.
Called for takeout at lunchtime. They were really fast. The cost of each dish is much cheaper than others but the size is smaller. The portions are just right for lunch. The food was tasty so we will definitely return in the future.Food: 4/5
Short conclusion: I will definitely go back for certain dishes but take out only. Dishes we ordered: A. Pan fried beef rolls: The flavor is good. The wraps are hot and crispy which I don't understand why are inside of the beef slices cold? B. Shanghai soup dumplings: Good fillings and flavor. But the wraps are too thick. It was thiner in a few months ago. C. Boiled blood curd and internals: Generous portion. The whold dish was hot but some of ingredients are cold....The Sichuan peppercorns used for conish but not in the flavor. Plus, the intestinal didn't clean week and contents the strong unpleasant taste. D. Scramble eggs with shrimps: Good. Alittle bite of greasy tho. And again. Even it was freshly made dish but the shrimps were cold... E. Deep fried tofu: Hot and crispy. My friend's and my favorite dish today. Soaked in the chilly oil from dish D brought more of satisfaction. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, the kitchen vent wasn't strong enough and the whole restaurant was under the smokey greasy smells which not good for my breathing and lungs issue. I ended up packing all of dishes home. Loving their tea. I thought it's black tea with rose flowers. After talking to the lady. It is the leechee black tea.
Great value lunch deal with a dish, rice, and a drink for only $12.95 everyday. There are 7 dish options to choose from and their combo meals are also discounted during lunch hour too. Sometimes the food can fill you up for both lunch and dinner due to the quantity. When we went, there was only one person juggling the takeout orders, the dine in customers, and any phone calls so service may be a bit slow. Once we ordered though, the food was out within 10 minutes. Some of the dishes are spicy so make sure to note that you don’t want spice if you can’t handle it. On street parking is limited but you can park at Coquitlam Centre near the Walmart and walk over.
Came here for some Xiao Long Bao and I wasn't disappointed. Not sure what all these negative reviews are about but I would recommend coming here for lunch and order off the Dimsum menu which is reasonably priced given the huge portions.
Food was way better several months ago, The ginger beef tasted like sweet and sour beef even after we asked them to make the food spicy. However the service from the Chinese lady was very friendly.
Arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday and it was completely dead. We were the only table next door, Singapore Hawkers was packed We haven’t dined there since pre-covid. So was surprised as it use to be packed. Ordered: Hot and sour soup 3.5/5 - pretty good but could have been a tad more vinegary. Although the pork which was coated maybe in corn starch had a bit of a strange after taste maybe old 2 bowls of beef noodle soup 3/5 - hubby said pork had an after taste maybe similar to the soup, but I’m not sure since I didn’t have any 2 sleeves of xiao long bao 4/5 - I thought these were pretty good Gai lan 3/5 - looked a bit strange. Veggies were massive and a bit wrinkly. Not bring green and coated with oil like I am use to seeing it. Hubby thought it was over cooked and too soft. I didn’t mind it and thought it tasted better than it looked. Fried rice 3/5 - was ok not bad no good nothing memorable Cumin lamb 3/5 - lack lustre. Looked a bit dry tasted ok. Not as good as I remember in the past. Beef roll 2.5/5 - this is a green onion pancake with beef wrapped in between and hoy sun sauce. The wrap wasn’t light and fluffy like I am use to. It seemed like it was deep fried thus harder. Had a bit of a strange taste. Couldn’t put my finger as to what was off though. Service was great 4/5 Bill came to $110 before tip. Not sure we’ll go back, if we do it will be a long time before and the restaurant needs to be full. Maybe that’s why it was empty.
Kung Pao Chicken w. Rice lunch special. The dish was not that spicy at all. The flavours could be stronger but it was still good. Sadly, I was still a bit hungry after this meal. Their free tea was excellent and their service was terrific. Parking: Street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor and plenty of space.
Good value and tasty. They have good portions for the amount you pay for, and a lot of their dishes have lots of flavor. We always order takeout, so I don't know how their service is. But our takeout is always on time, which we appreciate a lot! Our go-to favorites: Si chuan broth braised fish order with white rice, sliced beef with sour & spicy soup also order with white rice, and Legend House fried rice, Legend House Fried Noodles. I haven't tried any other dishes, but those alone I give 5 stars.
