Le Rusé Renard

This is a nice sit-down restaurant with a comprehensive menu that has everything from tartars and poutines to ribs and pastas. Their menu also has a lot of interesting meats on it, including elk, wild boar, bison, duck, and deer. We had dinner here a few days ago, and ordered their BBQ boar burger with poutine and their maple duck breast. The dishes were beautifully presented. The boar burger was tasty, although the boar tasted a bit dry. The duck tasted lacklustre, but I loved the accompanying mashed potato and veggies. The service was friendly and bilingual, but as other reviews mention, it was on the slower side; we had to wait over thirty minutes for our food to arrive.

We had the most delicious meal from start to finish. We wish we found this lovely place sooner during our stay but will be back to enjoy once again. Not only was our food and drinks fresh, delicious and flavorful our waiter was so nice and attentive. This meal was the best around and certainly better than any in Mont Tremblant Village or the St.Jovite area that we tried during our stay. It is a must if you are a local or just visiting and looking for a fantastic meal.

Food was good. Service was slow due to lack of staff so please be patient if you go.

Five of us just had excellent meals and experience at le ruse renard. We had the mushroom ravioli, salmon, boar burger, beet goat cheese app, mixed salad, soup, and everything was Outstanding- delicious! Ambiance on the porch was wonderful and our server Jordan was Friendly and delightful. Love this place! PS. Vino very nice, too!

Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant along the Petit du Nord! Wish there were more restaurants like this along the way, right off the path. Service was excellent and food authentic Quebecois and fresh!

We arrived at 6 pm, the greeter said we were just opening and said we came at a good time as things were going to get busy later. We had appetizers then ordered our food. Took over an hour to get food, wry slow, only 10 others in the restaurant. The restaurant became very filled with smoke which was hurting our eyes. The pasta came and tasted disgusting. Foul tasting, like burnt. Told them we were not paying for it, paid for the rest of the meal and left. Would not recommend this restaurant ever.

They refused to take our take-out order and told us that they were too busy, eventhough they only had around 5 customers. When we told them we don't mind waiting, they refused and claimed that to get our order, it was going to take more than an hour and a half, eventhough we only wanted to order one single poutine!

Good range of good food. Suitable for families or groups with a mix of different tastes or needs. The restaurant team had an "off" night on the occasion of my visit. They admitted it, were very apologetic, and volunteered a sincere resolution.

I went there with my friends, and we had such a nice time. Te place is so cute and cozy it’s very well decorated. The employees there are very welcoming and sweet! Our waiter Ludovic was so nice and he knew very well the menu. The food is also very good!!

Great restaurant. Amazing food. Stellar service. Just what we needed after a day of cycling the Petit Train du Nord. Merci!
