C’est l’une des meilleures tables du Québec depuis plus de 35 ans.Le Mitoyen est une halte raffinée, aussi bien dans sa cuisine que dans son décor de maison de campagne. Tout cela sans prétention. We went to celebrate our marriage anniversary and it was the perfect choice. Starting with the service, the host told us a bit about the restaurant history btw this place is an institution he gave us amazing wines recommendations and he was very friendly and empathic all the time. The place is a restaurant inside a house, cozy and warm perfect to have a date.nnFood was incredible, they make an effort to buy local and high quality supplies which makes it more special. Everything was very tasty and delicious. Definitely I will come again.
On Grand Prix weekend we looked outside Montreal to find a great restaurant and we were able to find a table through their app even within three hours of table time. The neighbourhood is picturesque and the house is tucked back from a pretty public square. Walking up we knew this was going to be a great experience and confirmed even more so as we walked in and greeted by the staff. The service was excellent and all the staff was very patient and kind to translate. Taking a picture with Google also quickly translated the menu. The service was timely and we never felt rushed. We choose the multi course menu with wine pairings. Expensive but worth the experience because we got to try four beautiful wines paired with all the courses. I lost count honestly but they were all made and presented to perfection. All the roast vegetables burst with flavour and the meats, shellfish, sauces and deserts were fabulous. If you want a culinary treat Le Mitoyen is a great choice!
The restaurant is located in a beautiful old house with several dining rooms. We were seated in a cozy area with only four tables which made the experience even better. White table cloth, impeccable service, a menu that captures the chef’s creativity and genius, this is an excellent fine French dining.Everyone will find something they like on the menu. Le Mitoyen offers a broad selection of fine wines to accompany each course. To conclude, it was a memorable dining experience and one where we will celebrate future special occasions. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food, great service and great night. The ambience is cozy and you really feel at home in this little house full of history. We had table near the fireplace and it definitely added to the experience. Everything was good, the fish cakes are a must try. They also have a stout beer ice cream. I mean what else do you want.nnPROSn- The food !n- The desserts, especially the chocolate mousse and the chocolate squares;n- The ambiance including the fireplace;n- The service and the staff.nnCONSn- Not an impressive list of Whisky nor Cognac;n- The tables in the smaller rooms feels impersonal.
Hidden germ in laval, you will be surprised by the excellent service & food quality. Its in the high end price but worthy to try. They use very fresh ingredients & the sauce for each dish comes from real fruits, so it tastes light & so much flavour. Fois gras is a must try on the menu, not over or under cook, perfect timing & the dish temperature is just perfectly control to bring out the best taste of it.
