We were told this was an incredible place ... well, while the place look great and the drinks are, indeed, fantastic get the Lucky Cat, the food was awful. The only things we had that were good was chicken dumplings ... the peanut noddles were acceptable . The wings were meatless 70% breaded, and spare ribs were in a 20% acetic acid vinegar. Fried calamari were acceptable. Geez I am not happy . The place look great, staff does their best ... but not pleased... I will unfortunately not come back
It was an interesting experience. We had thought it was a bar/pub, but it’s actually a Chinese restaurant so you have to order a dish and cannot just get a drink. They had interesting Asian themed foods and drinks. I do like the concept. Has potential, wish it was more a lounge-y place to hang. Missing something like that in Brossard.
Funky decor, great cocktails and tasty small plates. They’ve also got great playlists playing all the tome. The cocktails are by far the best bet here - the Lucky Cat is pretty flavourful and comes in a cute porcelain cat. Foodwise - the Yakuza poutine is delicious poutine with kimchi. Service - friendly staff, but sometimes not enough staff on premises to provide quick service. All in all, a great spot for a 5 à 7.
This is not your typical asian restaurant. Unique ambiance - cozy and colorful decor. Yet it has a hip 'flavor'. Spend a few moments listening to the music they play and you'll see what I mean. Personally I loved it. Very cool concept. Oh and the food is great too. They have some unusual items on the menu which are worth exploring. I'll be back here for another visit very soon.
Such a great spot. Definitely a go to for anyone on the south shore, theres no place like it. I recommend the matcha cocktail and the peanut noodles! Service was very friendly and great music Disco. The decor is also fun and funky : The menu was also very budget friendly. Will definitely be coming back !!
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The décor and ambiance is welcoming and friendly, much like all the staff. The lighting is on point. The inventive menu is quirky and interesting. We ordered 6 plates for 4 people and were satisfied by the more than fair portions. Our waitress took the time to answer our questions and made excellent recommendations! I would describe the food as asian fusion. The hit of the night was definately the squid dish, it was tender and had a beautifully balanced sauce. We ordered the shrimp cocktail which was tasty with the crunchy shrimp crackers. We also thouroughly enjoyed the yakuza poutine, it is unusual but totally worth it, layers of crunchy kimchi mixed with a melty savory sauce along with cheese and perfect fries. The chicken wings were gigantic which is a good thing and were tender juicy and smoothered in a sticky and slighty spicy sauce! They would have been perfect if they would have been a little crunchy! The frog legs come in a beautiful homemade sauce that surprises the palate. I would add an empty dish on the table for the bones that will need to be discarded and a slightly bigger bowl for the individual servings. The drinks were very nicely made and very tasty. The music was well curated and made for a perfect ambiance, not too loud. All the employees looked genuinely happy to be there. They always made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend reserving since this place is bound for popularity! Excellent for all occasions!
After spending a long day walking around Downtown Montreal with my family wife and 3 kids, we wanted to eat somewhere close to our hotel in Brossard. Le Golden Dragon was only a few hundred meters away and we decided to enjoy some chinese food there. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside on the patio with several other groups, enjoying the cute lantern decor. We were surprised when we reviewed the menu as the dishes were unique: general tsao's burger, chinese tacos, and roasted cauliflower with peanuts just to name a few. All the dishes were $5.95 and are presented in small servings which is actually great for sharing and tasting. Apparently this was the second day of a new menu and the chef was overwhelmed a bit with the orders. This caused us to have a very long wait BUT the atmosphere and the kindness of our waitress more than offset our time spent waiting. I feel like the chef must have a lot of integrity to prepare his food so carefully even though he knew that customers were waiting. It definitely showed when we got the food: this was one of the tastiest chinese meals I've ever eaten. Truth be told, I decided to write this review, but just because of the delishiousness of the food but because of the friendliness of our waitress. Both she and the restaurant get 5 stars from us!! 5 tourists from Massachusetts.
We went there to celebrate a special occasion and we wanted to try something new. Worst chinese food I've had! I have some asian origins and I've been to a lot of different chinese restaurants, so I know what I'm talking about. It's also too expensive and I don't know why they say to order 2-3 plates per person. I have a big appetite and one plate was enough. They say it's because the plates are to share but it's the same like everywhere else. I wish we'd gone to the Kimpo, the restaurant next door. We'd have been more satisfied for the same price. I gave a one-star only for the waitress who was nice and efficient.
