LCBO

The variety of products at this LCBO is second to none. Very bad for my wallet!!! Both upstairs and downstairs huge Vintages section carry well-known and unique products, from wine to whiskey to gin to anything else. Service is always knowledgeable and friendly. I've never had to wait too long at the cash either. Parking can be a bit tricky, and getting in and out of the parking lot is the worst but it's that downtown location, unfortunately not much can be done about it. I still always go there when I want a unique or high end selection.

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. During our visit to purchase alcohol, the cashier, tattooed lady Celeste, refused to complete our transaction because someone in our group was present, even though that person neither handled the alcohol nor intended to purchase it.nnWhat made the situation especially upsetting was that, shortly afterward, I observed white customers who appeared to be under 25 being allowed to purchase alcohol without being asked for ID. I felt we were treated differently because we were people of color.nnCeleste was unprofessional and racist. I am never returning to this LCBO AGAIN.

My go to place when I want variety and great prices! Lots of security staff. And the lcbo staff is always so nice

This LCBO has a great selection. On Saturdays from noon to 5 they have a wine tasting for new wines as well.nnI go because they have a great selection of whisky. Especially Canadian whisky.

Nice and huge store store with a great selection. It probably has one of the best or the best variety in ottawa. There’s even an underground floor for special wines and everything else is in the main floor. Employees were all happy to be there and it was nice inside. On the outside, however, the store is very different. There’s homeless people on the sidewalk and next to the entrance, some of them stinking like they have not showered and looking for money, drinks or drugs. The area outside feels very sketchy and dangerous. I hope they can turn this around
