Lawrence Town Hall

First I must say, thank you Eileen Bernal. You are more than a city clerk. You are my hero when everything was looking dark. Thank you so much for your time and effort in making sure I receive my Birth certificate. I live states way from where I started my life & am continuing my journey. Thanks to Eileen, someday my journey will make a full circle back to where it all started. Compassion for the people & love for those around you, even if you don’t know them goes a long way.

An older building with charm. It really needs modernization and an overhaul. Street metered parking. The inside is quite worn and not especially appealing. The council room is the highlight of the building. The people who work there are extremely kind and helpful. Nothing here in is meant to be political in nature Although, I believe for a town this size, the governing person could do more for this facility. Fortunately, the employees are kind, competent and helpful. Nothing has been done to make the interior any more attractive to the many consumers who regularly attend City Hall. Accordingly, I will reduce my rating for this off-putting and ugly place. Although I must say that the people work there in the various offices on the first floor and in the basement are extremely kind and helpful. I've never been on a fourth floor except once when I was invited to meet the mayor and cancel the meeting the last moment saying he was busy and never rescheduled it.

We recently went to the city clerk office to obtain information needed to get married and we walked out with an official date. The lady who helped us was very nice and extremely patient with both of us Thank you so very much we really appreciate it too !

Went checking out the architecture of City Hall and was impressed with the historical information and artifacts that I found within the building including a beautiful 1920's stain glass ceiling that I almost missed by not looking up! An added bonus for stopping into lawrence city hall located on a one way street.

The ambiance. The classical music playing. The very well dressed employees. It's a delight to walk into City Hall right now. You can feel a different vibe. Thanks Mayor Brian. Much needed changes.

Location for early voting. On street parking. The door located at Pemberton Way is currently the only entrance while COVID restrictions are in place. Staff are available to direct you to wherever you're going.

The people who are working there are always nice

I hope someone really look at this reviews I’m being trying to request my marriage certificate and no one there pick up the phone or when they pick up they give you the wrong information it is being so frustrated experience for something some easy 5 days trying to get this and no one can help you there, just not right

There's construction being done on my street and the garbage truck drove by and didnt collect my trash because of the cones and equipment left by the city blocking their way. I called department of public works. A man answered and took down my information when I explained my situation asking if someone could be sent to collect my trash because the workers were finally out of the way. He said he would call. I called to follow up no one answered so I left a message. No one returned my call. I called several times today and left a few messages. No one has the decency to return phone calls. I get they are busy but it only takes a second to return my call and give me an update. Now I am backed up on trash and it'll have to pile up in my home until next week. This is NOT the first time they take my info and pretend they would call me back with an update. Completely unprofessional.
