Lavis Manicure

Do NOT go here if you want long nails or any type of design. I asked for a simple French tip with a 3-D flower and they said they couldn’t do it. Then I showed them a simpler design and they still weren’t sure if they could do it. Today was supposed to be my spa day before my wedding and I did not feel very “spa” like. I had an appointment set for 10 o’clock and there were people that got in before me so I had to wait for my nails. Good thing I walked out after they put the tips on because my nails would’ve come out really ugly. The tips were so curved they looked like literal claws. Very unimpressed.Service: Pedicure

The lady who did my nails kept showing me that the product was made in USA, which was weird. I asked for gel nails, so she did use a gel builder but then painted the gel builder with gel polish. I am not sure if that is normal, because I feel like all the other times in the past I've gotten gel nails, they use gel that is the color I selected built into the gel rather than painting it on top.... I could be wrong. The lady was rough and was trying to go too quickly so she kept accidentally bumping my hands around. She did not seem to have all the right tools at her station so she kept fiddling around and looking for stuff in drawers. It did not inspire a lot of confidence that she was prepared for my appointment. She was nice and friendly though! Although I could understand only 20% of what she was saying. Another thing I disliked was it felt like the tools she was using on my nails were not clean. They came out of a dirty dusty basket.. which really grossed me out. I do not know how sanitary it was. Nail salons I've gone to in the past have given me the square buffer and nail file after because they never use the same one for different customers. All in all, the nails looked 'meh' and I felt like it was unsanitary.

Worst pedi EVER! They not only shortened my toe nails, they went 1/3 past where the toe nail attaches to the nail bed…and the way they treated me after o told Them how unsatisfied I was, was CRIMINAL!!! Never come here for services ! I’m I. A lot of pain, if I get an infection I will be coming BACK!

Wow Mother of the Bride here. A couple of us purchased gift certificates for a pedi and wedding nails for my daughter. After not being able to find the appointment she had scheduled with Lavis last week, they began her pedi with no sani bag...gross while they awaited the nail tech Tom, who they had to call in. She showed him pictures of her expectations, but he began an alternative application? When she questioned the type of application, he became very frustrated and short, suggesting that was the application HE was choosing to do. Sensing perhaps, he misunderstood, she once again attempted to explain, but he only became more upset. Needless to say, she left in the middle of the appointment when his demeanor became unacceptable. My daughter IS a nail tech, but we thought we would pamper her. Well, seems she's been given additional stress instead. She is on her way over to her instructor's salon, who is going to to see to it that she receives the proper care, consideration and service that we have already wasted, at a cost, with Tom. I've read several Lavis reviews...why is Tom still there?!!

This salon is the best in Spruce Grove locally owned by a beautiful family. If you’re looking for more than just a nail salon a place to go relax and be pampered this is the spot amazing selection outstanding quality of work great hours and great prices. Been going for nearly 3 years love my lavis

I recently moved to spruce grove, I’ve been looking for a good nail salon I took my chances & decided to come here. It was a bad decision on my part. First of all let me add that I called on Wednesday & booked my appointment for Friday at 5pm. I read a couple of reviews & learned that Tom & Wendy are the owners they had good reviews, so I called to book my appointment specifically for Tom or Wendy. I show up at 5pm on Friday. Nobody gives me a book of colours to choose from like any other salon would? By the looks of it Tom had just started working on someone, so I assumed I’d be seen by Wendy, then this lady comes in two minutes after me & says she has an appointment with Wendy at 5? I was really confused so I just waited patiently. About 5 minutes go by & Tom went to the back to get an older Asian lady & he called me over to her. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails & what colours I wanted, right away she looks at the blue colour & says we don’t have that colour? I looked up & I saw about 20 different shades of blue on their wall of nail polish. Tom had come over to get the colour of blue I wanted. 10 minutes go by we get to the nail colouring & designing. I show her a picture of the colours I want & the marble design. She was really hesitant on the nails I was paying her to do she at one point said it was an ugly design. I’ve had my nails done for over a year now at an amazing salon in Edmonton so I do get a little over the top with my designs. But if I’m paying you to do my nails I want you to do my nails how I say. Anyways I wasn’t going to argue with her to do my nail design the way I wanted so I left it. Now we get onto the marble design she did for me she said the marble won’t look like the picture so I said that’s fine I wasn’t counting on it, once she’s finished the marble design it literally looked like someone went over my nail with a fine point sharpie & scribbled, I voiced my opinion & told her I didn’t like it so she took it off & just recoloured them there original colours. I felt bad for that part so I did give her a $5 tip for waste of product. After that Tom must of heard that I didn’t like the marble so he came over & did it perfectly. As soon as I got home I noticed she didn’t shape my nails like a square it’s more of a triangle square which I’m not happy with I asked for a French manicure on four nails & the white part doesn’t cover up my natural tip of my nail so it looks really bad. As for the designs she said were ugly, I wanted a gold triangle on my middle finger & a gold line on the French manicure to kind of pull the whole look together & she refused to do it. I always go to a highly rated nail salon in Edmonton & get the best work in so posh nails it was on the top 15 best nail salons in Edmonton, that place really puts this place to shame hands down. I’m very disappointed with the treatment & the overall work I had done on my nails. I will not go back here & I do not recommend anyone going here either.

Very unimpressed with the job done on my nails... I got the dip done..not only is the color inconsistent darker in spots and lighter in others she kept filing and filing the edges after the color was on that I have no color on the edges. And with all that filing she actually cut my fingers! She knew it was hurting me as I kept flinching and she just kept going. And then had the audacity to charge me $63! I tipped 10% because I'm too damn nice, but I'm actually really upset that I didnt speak up when paying. I've gone here for a year now.. and I dont know if I'll be back any time soon.

I had my nails powder dipped by Tom today. He did an amazing job. The staff are all friendly. Good, clean salon. I would definitely recommend this location. Thanks Tom :
