Lavington Bakery

I have been coming to this bakery since I was a young boy. Easily some of the best bread and pastries in Etobicoke. The donuts here are classic and anyone who grew up in this area will tell you what a special place this is for the neighbourhood. Portueges olive oil sold here is fantastic and great for salads.

So Ive only gone for the Cannonli to be honest, only problem I have is my sever nut and peanut allergy. Now I have been told they don't use peanuts or nuts at all so that's why ive gotten them but at their shop to my surprise they use nuts and they sit right beside other products, I've tried to make it clear to have them made separately and maybe use different tongs instead of the same ones used on all products but they rather lose the customer then tend to the problem. The search for a peanut/nut free bakery continues !!! (That makes canonolis of course)

The baked goods were okay but I expected it to be tastier/fresher since it’s a small locally owned bakery with items baked daily. For example the custard tarts were dried out and a bit stale and the cannolis had soaked through the shells making them soggy. Flavour was good and staff was very friendly.

I've been visiting this bakery my whole life and I love what they have. My favourite​ is their twisted donuts! Will keep coming back as long as they are open!

Have been going to the bakery since we came to Canada. Hidden from regular traffic but known to locals this family business is always welcoming with their warm home made bread and baked goods will melt in your mouth.
